This is a very good Mexican taco shop, I picked it on my trip to AZ as it ended in "to's" which is a SD type of thing, so my goal was to find San Diego Style mexican food, particularly the Carne Asada. I was not disappointed. First off I did this to go and I wouldn't exactly say this is a place you want to spend a lot of time in. The carne asada was just in SD and was yummy. I was glad my room had a microwave because I was only 5 minute away but by the time I got to my room it wasn't hot anymore. I went twice, first time I got a chicken taco which was good but they put it into a styrophom container and that made one side of the taco soggy and couldn't pick it up. But the chicken was legit!I would recommend this place for take-out really good.

It's a little spot, busy, kind of a long wait for food, certainly not fancy....but the flavors are good! Prices are good, too. Just simple, well-prepared classic dishes. Who needs more than that? Really enjoyed the fish tacos! Had a nice tostada. We'll go back frequently.

Food was amazing I was so glad I stopped in for some foods. Next time I'm here I'll have to grab some more of this yummy stuff

The food was decent/edible but the place seriously needs to be cleaned. We realized it not in the best of neighborhoods but we were hungry when we got off the plane

I ordered the green chili plate and it was unexpectedly amazing! Hard to find good pork green chili that isn't dry but this was moist and flavorful. The flour tortilla was enormous and loved the rice! I tried each of the three choices of salsa and they were all delicious! I will definitely come back to try the carnitas because I overheard people saying how great it was. This is more of a fast food place where you order at the counter but there is inside seating. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I was in again tonight w/ an appetite! Esperanza is gone, but the new cashier is as friendly & helpful! I wanted a traditional AZ Green Chile Beef Burro. Nope, the GC here is made w/ pork. Yuck! I hope that they have a GC Beef option for us locals! I opted for a burro de cabeza. She kindly added onion, cilantro, & sauteed bell pepper rajas...This was amazing? A perfect, thin, translucent flour tortilla stuffed w/ veggies & crispy, succulent beef (no gravy though). I added plenty of their green sauce. It was not an AZ burro, but it was amazing - my new favorite!Please add rajas of Poblano or AZ Green chiles for us AZ folks!

Found it by chance. Outside and inside looks like a fast food restaurant. Very cheap for a meal around $10.00. A lot of good food for the money. They have four salsas that are self-service, very tasty. I always order the shredded beef taco. Your order is called, and you go to the counter. Nothing fancy, just good food

Food: Greaseless chorizo. How is that possible? I have no idea but it was amazing. Writing this review a month later, but I think it was #9. Worth the trip just to try it. Service: They closed at midnight. We arrived at 11pm and they treated us like they had just opened for the day. No rushing, service with a smile, refills and fresh, hot churros. Ambiance: Typical small Mexican restaurant with minimal decor. It's like so many others in The Valley with grimy restrooms and graffiti. However, it seems to be family rather than corporate owned. There's a house behind the business so I'm pretty sure someone is home at all times. I'd give it 5 except for the restrooms and the homeless passersby. If you don't want to be approached, call ahead.
