My boyfriend and I came here for a late lunch and we were really impressed by the generous portions and super friendly service! Danny prepared our poke bowls (and one to-go for my daughter when we came back after running errands). He was very cheerful and upbeat, definitely made us feel welcomed!A lot of the other poke places are really stingy with their portions and charge extra for toppings. At this Poki One N Half, all of the toppings were included in the price, and you can request extra of your favorites FREE! How nice is that?! It's service like this that attracts and retains loyal customers! I don't live in the area, but I wouldn't mind driving here next time I crave for poke! The restaurant is really clean and the fish/ingredients are all very fresh!

I just online ordered a small poke bowl and picked it up to go. When I opened it up I found that I was missing a protein and some toppings. In a small bowl you get two proteins, which is like the whole point of the poke bowl and the expensive part might I add. I also had to spit out the ginger because it tasted sooo bad. I eat heaps of ginger and I know what it's suppose to taste like. The exp date on the package is a little iffy but I really hope they aren't give me something that expired in 2021.My avocado was also old, it was black. I was so disappointed and a little angry because I drove 40 minutes round trip just to pick it up. So I couldn't go back and get a new one. There were very few customers when I entered the place, and it was also a rainy day on a Sunday at 12pm, so I know they couldn't be so busy as to mess up my order. I don't know if I will be back to this location.

If you have never had a Poki bowl, I think it's a must try for anyone that likes sushi, fish, or ceviche. From what I read long ago about it, it is a Hawaiian dish with Japanese influence. It's typically cut up/cubed raw fish mixed with sauce served with rice and/or greens and other toppings to complete the deliciousness. To start, you select the size you want and based on that they give you a certain amount of scoops of fish or other protein.Small - 2 scoops ($15.95 as of Feb 2024)Regular - 3 scoops ($16.95 as of Feb 2024)Large - 4 scoops ($17.95 as of Feb 2024)You select a base: white rice, brown rice, mixed greens, quinoa (add $1.00) or half and half. I usually get mixed greens and brown rice. Then you select your proteins. I usually go with salmon, tuna, and scallops. They also have shrimp, a Cali mix, minced lobster, spicy tuna, tofu, octopus, chicken, and chickpea. You select your sauce: original poki, hot poki, fire poki, ponzu, spicy mayo, wasabi mayo, or yuzu pepper. I usually go with fire poki. I have heard people mix sauces, but I usually stick to one. Then they mix your sauce(s) with your protein in a separate bowl and place it on top of your base. The last thing you select are toppings: seaweed salad, edamame, jalapenos, krab meat (I think it's imitation), white onions, green onions, seaweed flakes, ginger, carrots, corn, crunchy garlic and/or sesame oil. I order toppings based on what I feel like having, but everything is good. The poki bowls are good. Service used to be the worst thing here, but I think those employees have been replaced. Service is consistently good now. Lots of drink options and fountain drinks. Not a ton of seating, but people are usually in and out after eating.Parking is usually okay unless you are here during peak hours. If that's the case, you might have trouble finding parking.I'm glad I gave this location another chance. I don't mind the drive to Clairemont Mesa, but this i smuch more convenient after shopping at Mitsuwa.4 / 5: Poki or Poke bowls (I've seen it spelled both ways)4 / 5: Service4 / 5: Cleanliness4 / 5: Overall

My favorite poki place in San Diego! I love that they have multiple locations. First, this has been the BEST bang for your buck poki place I have been to. Even with their recent price increase, ~$17 for a regular bowl (3 scoops of fish), it's still worth it. It so much food, I can make it into two meals. Second, they have so many topping options and sauce options. Try the crunchy garlic! I usually get the Fire sauce because I like spice. They even have dessert (ice cream macaroons), they are delicious! I've tried them all, and can't go wrong with any of them. Ive never been disappointed with the service or quality of food, that's why I'm a loyal customer. I'm a fitness guru so it's nice having a great poki place I can rely on. During the summer I tend to come here at least once a week. If you're in the area and you're craving poki, check them out!Note: During lunch hour the parking lot can be chaotic since it shared with lots of other businesses.

So frustrating!! I was sadly in the hospital and the food was sub par. I was craving a poke bowl so I ordered door dash delivery. I ordered my usual of salmon 2 scoops with toppings and the base as white rice. The bowl arrived and it looked sad. It's not good service to give a different product if the customer isn't there to watch you make it. WORST OF ALL, they didn't pack even ONE packet of soy sauce!!! Are you KIDDING ME!!! The whole base is white rice - so now I have a completely dry half ass made poke bowl that was $23 to deliver. Very disappointed. I will not return here.I certainly hope that KEVIN T doesn't leave a generic message to me on here like he has to all of his other one and 2 star reviews "thank you for bringing this to our attention we hope you will give us another try in the future" that is not how you fix these issues . You need to satisfy the customers!! If I was In person I would have demanded a full refund for the sad bowl.

Poki One N Half is my go-to poke place. Granted, I haven't tried many other poke places in San Diego, but I find this place to be reliable and tasty. A big plus for me is that they don't charge extra for avocado & krab. Today I got the regular bowl with 2 scoops salmon, 1 scoop octopus on white rice. I like the rest of their toppings like white onion, corn, edamame, nori, crunchy garlic, sesame oil, and pineapple. I do wish that they had masago. I got ponzu & fire sauce today, and next time I may ask them to add a little more sauce because it was a liiittle bland. The service was friendly.

What a rip off!!! Food was good enough, but the girl serving was sooo miserly. The 'scoops' contained about 3 pieces of fish and 3-5 edamame.... For $20....nah!! Too many better choices available. Skip the chain restaurants.
