Wish this place had more hype!! Especially for students, it's the spot to grab a tasty, big portion after grocery shopping and quiet place to study w/ outlets and wifi, although unconventional in a food court! My friend and I came but took some time to decide what we wanted, we're both indecisive, but the lady helping us was very patient and waited for my friend to send in her order. Our orders came out within 10 min, and their jjajjangmyeon was $11.50! Growing up in LA/Koreatown I've tasted a lot of jjajjangmyeon, I can say theirs is good (chewy noodles & savory black bean sauce) and reminded me of home, which is rare in San Diego. Both of us finished the bowl sauce and all! For the size and portion definitely will be a regular here!

Surprised to see so many negative reviews. Poke U was one of my first date spots with my husband, then boyfriend and we have loved their food ever since (est. 2019). We find the portions very generous and everything is always fresh and delicious, though we only ever order their poke bowls. We have seen the owners go from pregnant to bringing the little baby/toddler with them to the kitchen, so we have loved supporting them knowing it's a little family business. The service has always been quick and friendly, though I think there's a bit of a language barrier that keeps the visits being super warm, but we love Poke U nonetheless. They often throw in free onigiri or soup, not sure if it's because we've been long term customers or if we tend to go later in the day, but we appreciate them and will continue to follow once Zion moves!

My mom wanted ramen but this was the only one open that we know of. Lady at the counter was not as bad as the other reviews I've read. I think she's just shy. When I ordered our food, their system was running too slow. The sushi chef kept apologizing even though it wasnt his fault. We got our food and the sushi chef gave us a couple of yokult for being patient. Frankly, not really needed because for a "food court" type of food, this was not as bad as people said in the reviews. My chicken was crunchy and not dry. The sauce that came with it was delicious. But most importantly, my mom was happy with her ramen and that's all that mattered to me.

I came here about an hour or so ago, and I kindly was wondering if they served a specific item. Once I kindly asked the plus sized red hair lady who was working at the counter, she immediately said "No" and turned around and sat using her phone. The customer service was incredibly horrible lol. It's no wonder no one was bothering to order from there. After reading more reviews, I found out many other people had the same experience. Glad to know I have never given them any of my money nor will they get any of my money and will not go here for anything after shopping at the Zion market.

I only ordered takoyaki. The takoyaki is one of the best I found in SD. It was freshly made on the spot and even came with wooden picks to stab your balls with! Wish it pickled ginger.I find that most restaurants serve frozen, generic, takoyaki that you can buy straight from the freezer at Asian stores, and it's deep fried.Personally, I don't care about service as long as the food is good, that's all that matters to me.

Parking: Very large parking layout in front of Zion Supermarket Ambience: Food court style with multiple fast food around and center dining area. Occasion has performances on weekendsService: Very generous, gave us an extra spam musubi as they were closing upFood: sushi bowl was fresh and not so fishy which is a good sign of cleanliness and proper food storage.Overall: This is one of my go-to places when craving a sushi bowl and being in the area. Great sushi bowl at a decent price.

Just wanted to ask a question about the menu , the manager lady said no and walked to the back like she didn't care at all .... I went right next door and they were way nicer so I won't be going back here . Very bad attitude just go down the street there are far better poke places that will actually treat you with respect ! Don't bother with here .

I thought it was just me, but upon reading the reviews i feel the same about the lady that works here. I mean how can you be the face of your store if youre this mean and rude. Not a smile or thank you. So cold hearted and i don't know what her problem was but you just get that vibe that she doesn't like you. Never coming back, theres other restaurants next to it who are so much better and nicer

I love their sushi and tonkatsu curry. They have a good variety of food if you can't decide what to eat.

I do not recommend this place. Very small portions, not a lot of options and the lady serving my bowl was on the phone the whole time.
