Big poke enthusiast and love trying new poke when I travel. This place is a must if you love poke bowls. Many fish options and plenty of toppings. I got the 3 scoop with white rice, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, seaweed salad, crab, green onion, sweet sesame and spicy mayo. Perfectly combined and mixed not too much of anything which was great. I personally liked the salmon and yellowtail over the tuna and would order these two again. Service was fast too. Didn't have time to get a pic cause I was TOO hungry but do not pass up on this place a new favorite when I'm in the city!

We ordered the garlic shrimp and a large poke bowl. Garlic shrimp was battered but it was soggy .. it being fried you would think the shrimp would be cooked --- but it was still transparent . I ate a couple before taking the batter off- it looked raw. It was disappointing. I guess I was hoping for Hawaiian garlic shrimp that you can get a north shore Poke had adequate amount of fish.we ordered brown rice. I thought it would be plain brown rice but it tasted like it was seasoned with rice vinegar. We ate it because we were hungry - but I don't think we'd get it again.

One of my fave poke spots in SD for their stacked portions, fresh ingredients, and flavorful sauces! You can choose from their poke bowl selections or create your own. I created my own with my likings (ask for extra sauce on the side!) & it was one of the best poke bowls I've had in a long time! After my bf introduced me to this spot, I came back again not long afterwards. Highly recommend to satisfy your poke cravings!

We visited late February and shared a poke bowl. Fresh poke with good portions. Love the toppings. A couple of outdoor tables with a small free parking lot.

Today I got a bowl with 2 scoops salmon, one scoop of spicy tuna. I don't like that Poke Chop charges extra for avocado AND krab. For the sauces I chose jalapeño wasabi & sweet sesame. I think I liked the sweet sesame but would choose something else than the jalapeño wasabi if I went back.I don't know what it was, but overall it wasn't that impressive as a whole, it didn't come together that well. Maybe it was the sauces or the overwhelming amount of ginger and wasabi that they put on the side of the bowl.I think Poke 1 1/2 is a lot better.

Poke Chop is a solid cozy Poke restaurant tucked into the corner of Hillcrest. They have various poke options, great toppings, and decent portions.I saw this place as I was walking around Hillcrest and was recommended it by my eye doctor. This is very conveniently located given that I live in Hillcrest. Parking seems to be tight with a small lot shared by three or four restaurants. If not available consider street parking as well as public lots nearby. I walked in on a weekday around dinner time. There were a few people in line ahead of me and there was not much of a wait which was nice because I was starving at the time. Like most poke places, it is a step-by-step process where you pick the various things that you want inside of your bowl. I found that they had a lot of good options in terms of toppings, fish, and sides. In the end, I made my own custom bowl with tuna, salmon in various other toppings. I thought it was a solid bowl of poke. I enjoyed the portions I felt like for the price it was very reasonable. As for the fish, I thought the fish was decently fresh and enjoyable and that the sauces that were provided were tasty. It didn't have anything that was a shock factor however it was a very good Poke spot that I will be frequenting more often given that I live so close and how delicious it is. Service was friendly and supportive. Would highly recommend if in the area.

Friendly & quick service! The staff was really warm and welcoming as soon as I walked in I was a bit surprised at the price at first glance, however, the portions are BIG! They do not skimp on the protein here My only con was that I think my bowl could've used more sauce. They marinade the poke in whichever sauce you choose but I think I'm used to my poke bowls being drizzled with sauce on top as well. I'll make sure to ask for that next time! Overall good poke spot :)

I came to San Diego for a family vacation and was looking for a place for dinner. After looking through yelp, this poke spot had great reviews so I knew I had to try it! The reviews were right. I loved this place. And everyone was so nice. If you're looking for poke in San Diego I recommend here. There premium yellowtail is so delicious and worth the extra cost. I got a small and could not even finish my bowl. The sauces were amazing and everything was fresh and tasty! I wish I lived in San Diego so I could come more often! There are a few tables inside for you to dine in but most people picked up and took it to go. The parking lot offers 45 minute free parking which was nice! This place is a definite must go to!

I got food poisoning after eating here! While I understand that eating raw fish comes with risks, gastroenteritis is not pleasant and reflects poorly on the establishment. Within eight hours of consuming my Poké bowl, I had nausea, fever, abdominal cramps. 11 Bowelle movements came soon after.

Solid poke in San Diego. Good portions will fill you up I'd say it's worth the price as far as poke goes. Service was good workers helped with recommendations and questions. Good seating outside.
