Pizza Vero

I'm a fan of thick crust pizza not the thin type but these are the best pizzas in Poway! So authentic and fresh. Brings me back to Italy.Couldn't decide on a whole pizza so I ordered a few by the slice. They make fresh pizzas in the morning to slice up a la carte and again in the evening. While I was waiting for them to heat up my slices, I couldn't help but get gelato. He offered me to sample but I declined. I always get coffee and mint.I read a few bad reviews about the owner/manager treating employees poorly. I did not witness any bad behavior. In fact, the guy who ran me up was new and was being trained patiently. Parking in this plaza is plenty but can be tricky at times when you have the dance studio next door in session as well as Orange Theory, other nearby restaurants like Mexican Bar.

Review of the gelato only. I was really excited about trying this place. Staff were nice and the ambiance is strip mall. The gelato was fine. I have had better but it was good. Had I known the price of the gelato before going I would have passed. It's 5 dollars per scoop! My son and I got two scoops each, we paid $22 when you factor in tip. Yes, inflationary chain reaction the puts pressure on business to raise prices, of course, but we are getting to the point where prices are so ridiculous that businesses will start losing customers when it becomes not worth it to got any more. This is not sustainable.

Omg can we talk about their crust?? It's SO good, and this is coming from a foodie who makes their own pizza at home in a pizza oven. I could never get a crust like theirs, which makes this place worth ordering out for!The service was incredibly friendly, and you can tell that they really enjoy feeding their community. It's rare to find businesses that don't cut corners in favor of profits these days, but this place deserves your patronage just based on how authentically friendly and helpful the staff are!

It's a walk up counter. Mainly just pizza and salads. They have a corn crust, cauliflower, gluten free, and regular crust. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom, pepperoni and jalapeño, and a deluxe. Crust had a good flavor. The toppings were a little on the sparse side for the two pepperoni pizzas. The Deluxe pizza thin crust was really good. Ordered the antipasto salad but took home. A suggestion would be to chop the meats and vegetables smaller and add more meats. They gelato but we did not try it. Service was pretty good. Wasn't really busy but it was at the end of the day.

5 stars. Best pizza in San Diego. You must try this place. Im confident it will be your new go to pizza place. The owner is awesome. he loves his business and makes sure this place is always clean and the food is perfect.

There is a new pizza restaurant in town and it's called Pizza Vero. I saw it on the Yelp hot and new and had to give it a try. In just a few short weeks this restaurant is doing well. So many people were ordering inside, take out and delivery.I went for a classic deluxe pizza and canollis for after dinner. It came out fresh, hot and absolutely delicious! I was already thinking about leftovers for the next day. The canollis were from Heaven light, with a good flavor and crunch.Such a great pizza restaurant. The leftovers were delicious also. I will be coming for more pizza soon. Maybe I will see you there!

ONE BITE, EVERYONE KNOWS THE RULESNEW FAVORITE PIZZA SPOT!This place just opened and their pizza IS AMAZING!The ingredients they use are super flavorful. Their pizza sauce is incredible. It's the perfect complement on the pizza. Tastes homemade and full of flavor. The crust is soft but also has the perfect crunch. I'm not sure I've had a better pizza in San Diego. It's not often I take a bite and repeatedly say how great the pizza tastes. Some things to know before you go:- The inside is very small. Only a few tables so if you're bringing a large party you may want to take the pizza home. - again, it's a small mom and pop business so if it gets busy it takes a little while to prepare and cook the pizza, so be prepared for that. The wait is worth it though. Quality ALWAYS OVER pumping out half- ass tasting pizza. Also to note, the owner is the nicest guy. He truly cares about their product and pride themselves on putting out great food. He says a lot of the recipes are his mother's. They're from Sicily and the food sure lives up to the hype!

Ok pros: The pizza was amazing. probably the best pizza around. everything tasted fresh and the crust was to die for. Service was super friendly, the guys back there were awesome.Cons: The guy handled money (actual bills, dirty dirty bills) and did NOT, i repeat, DID NOT switch gloves before going back to make food. He used hand sanitizer, which defeats the purposes of wearing gloves. Please switch gloves. Is it worth getting people sick? You're at the register? switch gloves. You touch the tables or counters? switch gloves. Anything that is not making food you need to switch gloves. This alone is making question going back. Which makes me really sad because the pizza is amazing :-(

Pizza was fine. Location is okay. However, not a place that I'd go out of my way for. Better than a Dominos but definitely not a "destination."

We were looking for a vegan pizza, but didn't see this option listed on the website. Just in case, I called to see if they offered vegan cheese, and was happily surprised to find they did! The staff were friendly, the pizza was made quickly, and we all enjoyed the taste. While picking the pizza up I found the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The gelato looked delicious - how about a vegan gelato option? Thanks for a great experience.
