Pizza Shack

I have been passing by this place for two months now after moving into the neighborhood. My curiosity was certainly peaked. It finally opened last week. This place is super Adorbs! I am giving it five stars because of the simplicity, uniqueness, and the community involvement aspect. Although the pizza is pretty good too. It is literally only a counter inside to order with a small cooler of coke, and Pellegrino water. Heads up, they only have three items on the menu to include pizza, wings, and a salad. It's name fits it well. It is literally a small shack. It reminds me of a beach snack shop. There is a small picnic area boxed in with some pretty AZ Orange trees for you to eat. Summertime it is probably more a togo place. However, with this gorgeous unseasonable weather I did sit outside last night. I thoroughly enjoyed the peace of relaxing for a few and eating my salad and pizza. I imagine this would be a great place to bring a book and just veg out with your food when the weather cools off. Just for a little while though since the area is small. That is if other patrons are waiting. The lot is small, only three parking spaces since it was a house before. However, there is a small strip mall around front that might have more parking. it is more a community walk up place, which is the feel the owner was going for. Shawn is the owner and he is an amazing person. He is so friendly and very cool to talk to. The day I went the credit card machine was broken and he let me owe him the cost of the meal. That was pretty amazing of him to do that. when I went back to repay him I just really enjoyed chatting with him about food and the neighborhood. Check it out. It is always important to support local.

Stopped in today for the first time. 1). Choose size for base cheese pizza2). Add toppings (1.50 ea)Lots of topping options. Pizza was great... loaded with toppings. And, Sean was very personable and made for good conversation while I was waiting. Would recommend and would go back.

Not sure about some of these 5 star reviews because we ordered a pepperoni/sausage pizza and wings. Would have been better off getting a frozen pizza from Fry's. This pizza looked nothing like the pictures, pretty skimpy on the toppings and the sauce was bland. Crust was okay at best. "Medium" wing sauce was too spicy. We were extremely disappointed and won't go back. I love supporting local but not in this case. Friday evening around 6pm and nobody else was there. Should have known...Good luck!

I REALLY wanted to LOVE this place. I love supporting mom and pop establishments. We ordered a small cheese and a large Meat pizza and wings. The toppings were PLENTIFUL on the Meat. The wings were ok. I haven't found a ton of wing places I love in Phoenix so I can't hate on him for that. The ranch tasted bottled/pre made. It was the crust that was disappointing! I love a thin crust but I like a CRISP thin crust. This was not crisp which was disappointing. It just depends on your preference.

I wanted to like this place badly. The shop is cute, great seating outside and service was helpful; unfortunately, the food lacked taste. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and cheese bread, neither were good.

I have been passing by this place for a while now and finally got the opportunity to try it out. The owner was super nice and helpful. The menu was simple and straight forward. And the food was more than I expected! I'm happy with my first experience here and will definitely be coming back. Especially since it's walking distance from where I stay! Definitely recommend people to try this little hide away pizza shack. It will not disappoint.

Nice little hidden gem! Even with a somewhat last minute order, the service folk were courteous and friendly. My pizzas were hot and delish! If you don't want takeaway and prefer an "eat it now" experience- they do have tables outside.

One of the best pizzas ever. The thin crust was perfect, great amount of cheese and sauce, pepperoni was plentiful and covered the pizza! Generous portions of everything! Very friendly and welcoming, 10/10!!!!

I worked at a "Pizza Shack" when I was in college, and the pizza there was great. This pizza shack is just as great. Tried out a large pie and it was a homerun. It's not a thin midwest style crust, and it's not a thick hand tossed style crust. It's somewhere in between . The toppings are top quality. They put something special in the sausage. Sauce was spot on also. Fantastic pizza place and I highly recommend trying it. It will most likely be your default pizza shop, if you're in the area. Unfortunately, I live too far away, but I'll try and be back when I can.

First of all, pizza is my favorite thing in the world. That being said, I've been ever so patiently waiting for this spot to open as it's literally a couple houses away from mine, behind the smoke shop at the end of the street. When it finally did open, I was not disappointed! Great pizza, thinner crust but not soggy/flimsy or overly crispy/crunchy. Has a great texture, flavor and good "chewyness" to it. Great variety of toppings, and the owner is very nice as well. Went here for the first time earlier this week and have already gone back again. We will definitely be regulars here! Can't wait for the cooler weather so we can hangout on the small patio with picnic tables.Thanks Sean, for the scrumptious pizzas, and I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of us :)
