Pizza Port Brewing

How did we walk by Pizza Port in OB so many times and never venture in? I can assure you, it won't happen anymore.This review is for drinks as we did not eat while we were there. We already had our hearts, minds and taste buds geared for a later stop at City Tacos.We strolled into PIzza Port and grabbed seats at the bar that had a perfect sightline to the Padres on TV. We immediately loved the OB vibe of the place. Laid back, beachy friendly. Just a cool spot to hang out and sip a few. Inside or out on the patio. The smell of fresh baking pizza in the air nearly made us pivot from City Tacos.The bartender was super cool and gave great recommendations. I had the San Diego famous Pizza Port Chronic Amber Ale. Becky chose a guest hard seltzer that they had on tap. Their selection of beer, ciders and seltzers was seemingly endless. Lots of handles to choose from.We checked out the menu and it all looked great. Apps, wings, salads, and of course pizza! Traditional to unconventional to just plain whacky pizza flavors. Pizza Port even has a pretzel appetizer for $2.50 Yes! $2.50Looking forward to a return trip to try some of that great smelling food!

Been looking for a place with good pizza and beer and good food too. Came here on a date with my wife and we ordered a pepperoni pizza half pineapple half bacon, buffalo wings and Mac and cheese balls.The Mac and cheese balls were garbage. They were made for cheap mac and cheese in some weird breading, no flavor, we took one bite and didn't eat them. The buffalo wings were also not good. Just all spice, no flavor as well.. super disappointing in both. The pizza was actually pretty good. If you come here for anything let it be the pizza and nothing else. The beer selection on draft was crazy! So many choices and my wife did enjoy her beer, the woman who took our order was very kind and helpful when we decided what to order. The inside was also decked out such a beachy vibes and seemed like a cool place to come hang out with your friends and have a good time. Overall it was just okay.I did appreciate the self serve ranch! It was a decent ranch. Not the best though.

If you're coming here for incredible beer and are totally cool with sticky gross tables, doughy greasy pizza, loud annoying drunks - then you're in heavenThat's it

This spot was highly recommended by our host as a "local fave". It has seating galore (both inside and outside) which we greatly appreciated. To note it was also pet and family friendly. There were two separate counters for ordering. One for beer and one for food. The beer selection was vast. We settled on an IPA and a sour. Both were great! For food we snagged a double pepperoni pizza and a Caesar salad. The salad came out first and was huge! The lettuce was fresh, the dressing rich, and the yummy croutons were aplenty.The pizza was perhaps the hottest I've ever eaten. It tasted great and was just what we needed after a long day of adventuring. It had just the right amount of cheese and loads of dough. While the pizza style was not our fave we so enjoyed this spot, the nice fellow patrons and the friendly staff.

Great pizza and beer! I sat outside because the weather was nice and the little bar in the front is great for solo dining. Food came out super fast and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Pizza port is a must visit San Diego pizza and brew house. Whenever I visit San Diego I always try to convince my friends to stop by to grab a beer and order some amazing pizza. The dough is always fresh and it cooks light and airy but with an amazing crisp. Their toppings are always fresh as well and is jam packed with flavor. The sauce is top notch as well. Today we also ordered some twice baked wings and a Caesar salad. All amazing as per usual. Pizza port is a must visit when in the area!

Everything I wanted in a Margherita pizza! The pizza was not greasy at all and the ingredients tasted bright and fresh! We came pretty late and close to kitchen closing, but they took our order anyway. I don't drink alcohol but my family does, and they loved the selection of beers here. There's also a bit of arcade games, a pinball machine, and a crane game if you wanted to spend a bit more time here. Both the indoor and outdoor seating were casual seat yourself kind of seats which made for an easy experience. Would visit again!

This place is a must if you are in the area. My wife and I very much enjoy this place for the atmosphere, the food, and the fact you can always catch a game there. The service is great and you should definitely order yourself a brew to enjoy with your za. I had a Mexican Street Corn kinda pizza they had on special and I was thrown off on how darn good it was. I highly recommend pizza port as it is a great place for family friends and even the kids will have a great time!

Fun atmosphere with solid beers. Dog friendly inside and outside! Service is slow though.

At long last, Steve and I finally got to try Pizza Port Brewing. Long has it been on our list and we feel very fortunate to have at long last tried one of their beers.We had the California Honey Ale which is considered a blonde ale. We both liked the beer pretty well and very much appreciated the flavors of the honey and it's natural sweetness. Very easy to drink and very easy to get more than one.I found their merchandise intriguing and bought a long sleeve shirt from the brewery.. to go representing later of course when out and about trying other breweries and hopefully a conversation starter to direct any interested persons towards Pizza Port!
