Pizza Old Roma

Some of these reviews had me pretty leery, but I'm for an underdog and even more for local so I took my chances. I was already on the area with one of my kids supporting another spot nearby and decided to search for a pizza by the slice spot and hoped I could find one nearby because pizza is a fave in our house. We had parked nearby so we decided to walk over when we saw this was close to where we were. The front door of Pizza Roma faces Glendale, but there street parking nearby as well as a parking garage and lots behind the location of you walk up the alley way behind them. Other reviews stated the service was less than stellar, but the moment we opened the door we were greeted, my questions answered and I was able to order a two slice pepperoni combo and a drink, added a second drink, plus six hot wings. The employee asked if I was ok with waiting about ten or so minutes for the wings since they would take about that long. Of course we were fine with that. We were given drinks and decided to take advantage of the nice weather on the patio. There is a good amount of seating inside, but a bit dark and definitely needs updates. This is located in Old Town Glendale so you'll see that a lot around this area. I didn't inspect the inside a lot or the restrooms so I can't speak on that. The outside patio is nice, quite a few tables and a mural to enjoy. The sun does come in a bit, but there's also a good amount of shade because it sits between two buildings. Our pizza slices came out pretty quick. First impression was I could tell the crust was crispy which I like, slices large, good amount of toppings, but insanely greasy. That is not a deal breaker for me as you can dab off the grease etc. we topped with some red peppers and dug in. First bite was hot, crispy and I pretty good flavor. I enjoyed it. I don't typically order by the slice at many places because it tends to be dry and you usually see it sitting under heat lamps. Not here though. I'd eat it again. Our wings came out around the estimated time and weren't overly sauced and pretty good size. They were pretty hot seasoning wise like we'd asked, but not unbearable. For the price of it all I'd definitely eat it again. Again I can't attest to bad service, what the restrooms looked like or inside seating. Our experience here was great.

Aw man Ive been coming to this place since childhood, and now my kids can experience how good this pizza is. Staff is always pretty chill, never had a negative vibe from anyone here. The wings always come out steaming hot and have a perfect crunch to them.

Colby greeted us when we arrived and gave excellent customer service with food suggestions, and offering to store our Cerreta chocolates while we ate (it was over 120° outside). The restaurant felt like an old style pizza parlor, ordering at the counter and self seating. The slice specials was the perfect amount of food (drink, 1 pizza slice, and a side salad) and tasted great! If I'm in Glendale again, I'll definitely eat lunch again here.

We were in the area and wanted to grab something quick for dinner. We ordered their #1 slide special which is 2 slices of pizza side salad and a drink. We ordered a pepperoni and a mushroom and pepperoni. We paid and waited a good 25 minutes or so for our order. The guy that took our order was friendly and I believe by himself preparing our order and another who were waiting. The salad was fresh and basic. Just iceberg with some cucumber, cheese and croutons that were soggy. Nothing special. The pizza looked amazing but was sooo soggy. The crust I was expecting a crunch but it flopped around like a fish out of water. The taste was okay and the kids polished it off but just wasn't anything special. Maybe it was an off night and probably would be best eaten there in the restaurant and not to go. I'm sure it'll be better when it doesn't need to travel in a styrofoam container home. We might pop back in during Glendale Glitters it next time we are around to check it out.

This pizza place was just okay. The service was not very friendly and we felt the pizza was just kind of lackluster. Also, the bathroom was a little gross and dingy. We ordered a cheese pizza as well as a pepperoni and mushroom. I didn't find them to be anything really flavorful or special. It was fine, but I'm not in a hurry to return and definitely would not go out of my way for this place.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Horrible service. The "cooks" can't handle their jobs and are horribly rude to people just trying to order some pizza. Go to Luna pizza down the street at least they're friendly and clean. COOKS ARE DIRTY

The pizza was OK, I only had a slice, but the place is filthy. I realize it's an old building but the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month

I have been a customer of this place for many years. I absolutely love their pizza and their wings are to die for! The atmosphere is casual and friendly and I love the location in old Downtown Glendale. It's a tradition for us to go there every Christmas during the opening night of Glendale Glitters. Looking forward to going back again. Whenever I have out of town guests, I always take them to Pizza Old Roma. I had a friend originally from Chicago who calls herself a "pizza snob." She took one bite and absolutely loved it! I've also met many of my own clients there for pizza while we discuss business and my theater group met there when we were first starting out. Now that we're lining up filming gigs, we'll be meeting there again. I love going to this place and it always feels like I'm going home.

I don't know who's rating this place five stars. It must be family members or something bc there's no way. Not only is this place actual mega trash but I am about to speak from my HEART for this review. It's in downtown Glendale and that's right by GCC. So most college students are in the area including myself. Not only will I never actually eat here because the place is dirty as fuc* and just looking at it hurts my eyes. (Actually had to use eyedrops) But the people working there are miserable and rude as fuc* . I've never had an actual interaction there until today, and it was disgusting. There's an alleyway which is right next to the bum crusty place, and usually me and my friends like to sit there and chill, cuz it's a cute alley way w paintings and a nice marble seating area. But today ,for the first time, the door was actually open.We sat, and first thing the guy says (who I've never even seen before bc I didn't know this place actually was open and in business) "oh you can sit there customers only". Saying this with hella attitude clearly and ugly az eyebrows looking at us all musty.I'm in shock, bc first have I never been told some dumb shi like that before. Second, The alley way is a public area u moron. Maybe the chairs r his but b fr he was just being a b!t!h. So I Move to a diff table cuz I was gonna prove a point bc he clearly being a beatch. But at that point my friend just wanted to leave bc I was boutta make a scene frfr. And right as I was about to get up I look up and there's an actual customer staring at me cuz he tryna order and the guy dogging us. He's like "ThIs Is PrIvAtE ProPerTy" lying ass fuc. I said we're leaving. And left. Def not supporting this crusty business let me tell u. Go to black sheep!!! Don't need this crusty ass pizza
