Pizza Friendly Pizza

I was so looking forward to trying Pizza Friendly Pizza since we moved into the neighborhood, but I left incredibly underwhelmed.We ordered the pizza flight and the garlic parmesan wings. Every slice of pizza had something off about it that my partner and I couldn't put our finger on during the meal. Eventually we came to the realization that the cheese on each slice tasted like the cheese on a frozen tombstone pizza. I'm not sure what quality of cheese or storage methods they are using, but it was a huge miss. At $5-6 a slice, we expected far better quality. The garlic parmesan wings were good, but at over $2.50 per wing they were absolutely not worth it. We ended up not eating most of the meal and put it in our fridge for later, but I'm honestly not sure we will even go back to finish it. We may have caught them on an off night, but I would have a really difficult time recommending this place to a friend.

We got Pizza Friendly Pizza for takeout and it was delicious! The crust was the perfect texture - A little airy and light but with a nice crisp edge. The pepperonis were small and a little bit crispy which I loved. The potato pesto was a unique combination and the you can never go wrong with burrata. It's a little pricier than other options for pizza delivery but definitely worth trying at least once! We all enjoyed it and it tasted even better reheated in the air fryer.

Pizza Friendly Pizza knocked it out of the park once again. Was going to a show at the Empty Bottle that started at 9 and decided to order a couple of slices so that I could enjoy them outside before going into the venue. The sausage with giardineira was as good as always but the special mushroom miso slice really took the cake. The caramelized onions combined with the garlic and mushrooms was just perfection for a fungi lover like myself. Ordered on my way to the Bottle and the slices were ready at the promised time. Thanks PFP for the full stomach that nourished me as I got lost in the amazing sounds of L'éclair and Sunking tonight.

PFP is a bomb spot to drop in for a nice cold beer and good Detroit style pizza. Located in west town/ wicker park, this establishment serves their spin on different pizza styles the Detroit way. PFP is connected to a bar called The Empty Bottle which host shows for local bands while serving nice cocktails and beer. My friend and I tried a variety of slices: the miso mushroom, PRIDE, burrata and sausage. I also got a side of honey sauce. We enjoyed our pizza slices on the back patio area. My favorite was the miso mushroom - incredibly light and airy. The pride tasted like spaghetti pizza which I wasn't expecting since the ingredients remind you of garbage style. Still very delicious. The burrata is thick and creamy but lacks a little flavor which I don't think can be helped since it's burrata. And the sausage is heavily packed with meat and semi spicy gardinara. Definitely giving Italian flavors and herbs. Each slice was $4.50 for the square and the sauce was $3.00 which I thought was steep. We also got a mocktail with no alcohol for$7.00. I was surprised with the twist of adding peppercorn into the drink. I felt like I was drinking strawberry kombucha. Not bad and I would buy again. It'sNice that bars are including mocktail options.

Fab place for sicilian style pizza. Casual place with a few tables inside. Order by the slice or full pies. Three veg-friendly options, all of them fab. Caesar salad comes with cold, crisp greens, a generous sprinkle of parm, and some really tasty anchovies. Pro tip, save a bit of caesar dressing for the potato petso pizza. Definitely recommend!

Such crispy, toothsome pan-pizza in a low-key environment with chill service. -Cute alleyway patio walk-up window. -New indoor space with several tables. Came last summer when it was just the patio space. I have always loved the slices I had. Their flavors are sophisticated with variety - I love the miso mushroom, pepperoni, burrata. It looks like they have a special too that changes. I grabbed a slice combo to go and the 15 min ride home, the slices were still delightfully crispy.

Stopped by for their happy hour special. You get a slice, a beer and a shot for $8! We had to order at the bar next door to get the beer and shot, but the pizza comes to you where ever you sit. We sat in the back patio which is pretty basic. I also tried the potato slice and did not like it. But the pepperoni slice is delicious. There's a photo booth here, which I love using one whenever I see it!

I heard the food was good so I had to try it and I'm glad that I did. I'm getting hungry just writing this review. The dough was crispy and light, I am a huge fan! Definitely a must try, if you're in the area!

An extremely unique slice! I got the buff chick and the burrata. Both were really good. What shines here is the crust. It's the perfect mix between crunchy and light fluffiness. It's the only sicilian slice I can recall in the city. My one gripe is I wish the portions were bigger, especially at $5 a slice.

Hands down this is the best happy hour in the city. The pizza is a Detroit style pizza and is fluffy and crispy. The pepperoni pizza has these cute little pepperonis on there . The sausage comes with hot peepers and it enhances it. The happy hour deal is a beer + shot + slice pizza = $8.
