Yamato Hibachi Sushi New Castle

I've been here more than once, it is a solid place to go from time to time. It's nice inside, but lighting seems a little dim. It sometimes can get busy. The staff always seem pretty nice. We typically get chicken hibachi dinner. Every once in a while I'll get the steak and scallops but mostly the chicken. I don't mind a sushi roll sometimes but I am by no means a connoisseur in the sushi game. It is definitely good but not out of this world.

Yamato Hibachi in New Castle, PA is an excellent spot to get Japanese style food in the Walmart plaza off 224. I've never had a meal I didn't really enjoy. I reccomend the combo dinners that come with soup and the salad. The citrus ginger dressing is outstanding. The sushi, that's on you. The regular meals are great. Steak and shrimp is my go to.

Service was very quick and professional. The food was tasty but chicken was absolutely cooked before hand and cool. We had chicken and steak, chicken and shrimp, and steak. A side of noodles which was a waste. Ambiance was rushed and surprisingly loud.

Dropped by for lunch. Out of town we looking for a seemingly clean eating lunch. Ordered the sashimi dinner and an order of lobster rangoon. the Sashimi plate came with a small salad with a wonderful light ginger citrus dressing. Almost wanted to drink the left over. Also came with a soup, which i think was some type of onion miso soup. Was also very tasty. The lobster rangoon as a fried snack was so-so. sashimi dinner was on point. the fish was fresh and sooo good. Salmon was my fave, such great texture. Ill certainly come back for another lunch when im in town.For the options around new castle I was delighted to find such a quality sushi restaurant.

Didn't really care for this at all ,., it's a NO for me I'd rather drive outta town and eat somewhere else

A hidden gem. I'm so thankful this place opened up in New Caste!I had the chicken hibachi dinner for $9.50 and it was incredibly satisfying both in flavor and portion. My only desire would have been for some of the hibachi sauce on the side, which I'm sure I could have received if I asked, but my meal didn't last long enough. My son had a sushi roll that he raved about. After moving across the country from Seattle, where Japanese food abounds, this is such a welcome addition to our new hometown and a place I'm sure we will frequent often!Highly recommend!

I order take out from here almost once a week because it's so dang good. I get the yamato roll and steam hibachi. They are fine customizing our order a little bit, are quick, delicious, good portions, I hope nothing changes!!

Was there last night for the first time. Everything was excellent from the service to the food and price. We will be going back. I had chicken hibachi was wonderful and the rice and yum yum sauce were the best I've ever had. The spring rolls were great to. Im glad we finally went and tried it. My family goes there all the time I just never went.

Food is good but takes very long. I order and it took about an hour to get my food and others that got in after us got theirs only after about 20 minutes. I would only recommend if you have lots of time

This local hibachi place is on the top of my list for hibachi when getting food out or delivered in my area. American dream roll yum yum & volcano roll are my go too for sushi. Salmon is my favorite hibachi meal to order and I love there miso and onion soups they always make me feel better! #wbb
