Apparently this place got a complete makeover recently and I wish I took more photos! My friends and I were going to Fungus Books and Records next door and noticed the plants in this shop. Little did we know the amount of money we would spend in the shop (lol). There were a bunch of plants but also a bunch more such as some Italian food/cookware, candles, mugs, crafts, clothes, trinkets, jewelry, tea, tea pots, soaps, etc! If you need a gift for someone, this is the place to go! Don't forget to check out the back room! It's easy to miss.

What an amazing place! I wish they had these DIY schools in every city...this place is awesome!!! I was drawn to the place because of all the plants in the windows and the handmade shirts! Then we went into the shop and it is fantastic!! They have classes on anything and everything you could imagine from jewelry to marbling to sewing to woodworking to plant classes!! So many options!!!And their staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. We met Jen Cooley when we were there and she was so nice and helpful! I wish I lived closer so I could take classes every week! But alas, I will just have to come back and take some classes!!! If you live in Pittsburgh, you need to check this place out!

I took a floral arrangement class here last week. The space is a cute and cozy space nestled right on Penn Ave in Garfield. I thought it was really neat because when you walked in, there was a small store front and the open space for classes is in the back. We were offered wine and cookies with our class, which i thought was a cute touch! The instructor was very personable and informative. There was another lady (I'm guessing the shop manager or owner) who took the payments and kind of hung out in the front of the shop. She was very friendly as well. I will definitely recommend this spot to others and i will be back to take some more classes. It's such a cool concept and a great way to meet some fellow locals!

A nice, comfortable space with a small shop in front and a larger crafting space in the back. The shop sells kits for small fun projects if you want to sample embroidery or knitting, fat quarters and half yards of fabrics, t-shirts, mugs and other handcrafted and crafty things. They have a bagel pop up on the weekends inside and the craft tables are a nice space to hang out while you snack and have a cup of coffee. It's not a craft store with a large inventory of supplies but I could totally see coming here on a Saturday morning and getting inspired to learn something new over a cup of coffee. I'd absolutely come back to try a class or see what potential projects they had. Also worth mentioning they were really accessible: no steps, accessible restrooms, and the aisles of the shop were almost 100 percent navigable in a manual wheelchair. I really liked it.

Great merchandise. Fantastic classes. Something for everyone. I've wanted to learn to sew on a machine for years. (Yeah, I know, its kind of a random goal). I'd heard a lot of great things about Workshop PGH and decided to check out their Sewing 101 Class. I won't get too much into the class itself (as Workshop PGH has so many options), but I will say that I found the entire experience to be really fun and informative. Rebekah, our instructor, was really talented, knowledgeable and patient. After the class, I found myself marveling at how much was covered and included for a minimal fee ($45 for a 3 hour class that includes all of the equipment, materials and instruction? That's a steal!). I am already browsing their class schedule for something else to learn. The space also does some really cool sounding community events that I want to check-out. So stop in to shop or learn. All in all this place is a Maker's dream.

Garfield has a collective of art-related establishments on a corridor of Penn Avenue spanning a couple of blocks and Workshop is smack dab in the middle. They offer DIY classes where you can make anything from picture frames and other household items. The sessions or classes often include a snack and beverages; alcoholic and non. Enjoyable outing with friends. It's nice to spend an afternoon creating in such a welcoming space.

Amazing space, even cooler crew! Had my wedding reception here and couldn't be happier about it. You'd never know we were the first wedding in the space! Kelly and crew's expertise helped us stay relaxed and in the moment before, during, and after our wedding. For a very reasonable price, Kelly and the Workshop PGH crew handled the building, making, buying, and set up and breakdown of the following:* On-site helpers and crew members* Use of the entire Workshop PGH space (front workshop, garage workshop, parking lot, patio, and even their neat renovated outdoor trailer!) the night before, the entire day of, and part of the day after our wedding* Ice buckets, drink buckets, ice for drinks, chairs, tables, etc.* Vases, mason jars, decorative holders for flower arrangements and greenery vines* Decorated shelving and gift tables where needed* Made and set up card basket and welcome station (which included snacks and drinks) for guests* Lent us cutting boards and wooden planks for serving food and treats* Extra plants for the space* Outdoor games (jenga, cornhole, etc)* Handmade wooden bar sign and drink menu* Photo station/photo wall with our initials on it* Beautiful flower arrangements for the space, cake décor, 6 boutonnieres, 5 corsages, and 1 gorgeous half floral/greenery crown for me (the bride)* Potted succulents, which we used as gifts for our guests * Candle holders, centerpieces, and candles (both fake + real) for around the space* DIY card painting station for our guests* Custom directional arrow signs ("cake", "bathroom", "dancing", etc.)* String lights, sparklers, streamers, and other fun party/wedding decor* We opted not to screen print anything, paint decorations on the dance floor, and didn't need the donut wall, but they offered to let us use/customize these if we wanted to* Kelly also coordinated with our other vendors and made sure they had everything they needed to do their jobs well. Priceless for a busy bride and groom.Everyone was incredibly easy to work with, open to hearing about our ideas for the space, and able to give us their professional opinions when we needed their advice. The space looked incredible, and our guests were blown away by the whole experience. Would get married again if it meant I got to relive our reception here.

I took an embroidery and a punch needle class with Nora and they were both amazing! It's very laid back and comfortable and a great way to take some time for yourself. I love the environment and everyone is very nice. Classes are affordable and you actually learn to do something new in less than half a day which is amazing! I'm surprised they don't have more reviews. Also, great location and free parking after 6pm.
