Woodside Bar & Grill

Woodside... you really disappointed me. Really wanted to try something different tonight so I ordered the grilled chicken and spinach. Originally I wanted it with a veggie and the only veggie they had was garlic green beans (that's literally the only veggie I don't care for) so i opted for a baked potato and side salad instead. The side salad came out and it was smothered in cheese and really just lackluster. A few minutes later our food came out. Instead of getting a piece of grilled chicken on a bed of spinach and topped with tomatoes, I got over cooked and soggy spinach, mushy tomatoes, and cubed chicken all mixed in a rather unappetizing garlicky sauce. By far the worst meal I've ever had here. I basically ended up paying $11 for a baked potato and cheese smothered side salad. On top of that, service was not great. We ended up having to flag our waitress down for the check. This trip left a (literal) bitter taste in my mouth. Not sure when I'll return.

OH MY WORD! You have to try their wings in their signature sauce. We picked up a to go order of two dozen and they were perfectly cooked and deliciously sauced!!!! Can't wait to go back try some other items.

We placed an order here through one of the apps, can't remember exactly which one, but it did the job. Let me clarify, we attempted to call to place an order for pick up but for five straight minutes the phone was busy. We placed the order for pick up since we were nearby and made our way here after they told us when the time it would be done. We showed up a bit early just because and that allowed us to take the place in.This is a pretty impressive place considering where it is located. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere even though you lie within the Johnstown area. From the outside you are thinking that this can't be that impressive on the inside, but once you step inside you are kind of blown away. Looks like a newer place with all the bells and whistles. Generous seating area if you choose to dine in, whether it be at a table or the bar. There is also an outdoor fenced in area that accommodates for outside seating for warmer months. This area also houses another bar and a performance area, during the summer months they appear to have an acoustic mic night on Fridays.After a bit of waiting our food was ready to go. We weren't mad that it took a bit longer than expected because that meant our food was going to be fresh. The one thing that turned us off here was what we overheard from, what we are assuming, a regular here. "Why would you use an app to get food here, that's being lazy." First, this isn't the establishments fault, but if you want a return customer out of me I'd have put her in her place. Second, it's none of your business lady as to how, why, or what we were doing for our day. Maybe we didn't want to sit inside with music blaring. Maybe we wanted to enjoy the nice evening and eat on the porch at home. Maybe we were five minutes away from here and didn't want to cook. Maybe just keep your mouth shut and mind your business?Anyway, the food. The food was amazing in my book at least. My one sister had the Chicken Salad, my other sister had the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, the little ones shared the Chicken Tenders appetizer and I went with the Woodside Sampler. My sister that got the salad said it was good and that she would have added cheese to this if she would have known it did not come like that. My sister that got the wrap was fine with it until it started to fall apart, and she wasn't happy that a pickle spear was hidden under it which kind of got soaked up by the tortilla and some of the fries.For me, the Woodside Sampler is the way to go here if you want a ton of food and a chance to try many different things on the menu. For $11 you definitely get your money's worth. The sampler is comprised of chicken tenders, onion petals, cheese sticks, pizza logs, and jalapeño pickle spears. No substitutions allowed here. This also comes with your choice of two dipping sauces. When I said a ton of food, you need someone to help you eat this if this is all you are getting. Two chicken tenders, two home made cheese sticks, two pizza logs, not quite sure but I think it was like eight pickle spears, and a ton of onion petals. The star of this, in my opinion are the cheese sticks. Those were massive and amazingly breaded. The pizza logs were interesting. Cheese, pepperoni and sauce served to you egg roll style. I was so full that I had to share, there was no way around this.

Waited to be served at the Bar for 30 mins, just be scolded by the two female bartenders and then ignored. To make matters worse, other people were walking right in front of me and were served immediately. I didn't know if this was racially driven until one of my friends walked up and wanted to test it out for me. He was also served immediately. I pray that this was not the case, but you definitely lost some customers over this.

Wonderful place to grab a meal and some drinks. The fish sandwich was huge and full of flavor. Highly recommend chicken philly and brisket sandwich. The Bloody Mary is the star of the show; bacon, olive, lemon,lime and spiciness to your liking! Friendly staff and clean atmosphere!!

The BEST food EVER. These incredible people SAVED US, last minute by catering for 150 people LAST MINUTE. The food was amazing. They went above and beyond, with the best Pot Roast I have ever had. Woodside made my Wedding absolutely and immensely incredible. 10/10 would recommend.

This is 5 stars plus!! I forgot to take photos , but everything was so delicious. The cheese sticks are the best you can get anywhere !!! our sandwiches were so big and full of meat and flavor! The server was very nice and the place itself is very nice and very clean!! We found a new favorite place!!

I have an issue. During the week this place has the best pizza around. Friday night I don't know what donkey you have back in that kitchen, but fire them asap. Way way way too much sauce, way overcooked. Just absolutely night and day weekdays vs friday nights.

Great wings and atmosphere!! Just happened upon the place nice neighborhood clean and updated!! Great waiting staff, very attentive!

We went this past week while visiting family in town. We sat on the patio which was great and all of our food was delicious! Between all of us we had the Buffalo chicken wrap, chicken parm sub, wings, and peel and eat shrimp. Everything was fantastic!! I was impressed. We will be back when we are in Johnstown again!
