Ordered for pickup was so disappointed first time ever love this place got the crab hozel look at picture you will not believe there's no crab on it also got the wedge salad was very weak and a very small portion of French onion soup not sure where they drop the ball because usually they are really good

We were blown away and pleasantly surprised of this wonderful fine dining establishment. Wondering why we never stopped here sooner.We are so happy with our experience.Fish dishes were presented with artistic talent and care. Food tasted equally amazing. Ambiance was very romantic and intimate as we were seated directly in front of the fireplace for our visit. Hostess and wait staff friendly, attentive and professional.There was a small volume of free parking available in the rear of the building and some additional a few steps away. We will definitely come back.

We had a holiday luncheon here on a Saturday before Christmas. We had a reservation for 1:30 and when we arrived, the parking lot was still filled from earlier diners, so that was a good sign. Luckily, I got a spot when someone pulled out. Once inside we were seated immediately and given menus, but not drink menus. So when our server asked if we wanted to order cocktails, we said we did but wondered if there were any specialties. She said of course! And returned with the drink menus. So we ordered cocktails and some appetizers for the table, beer battered zucchini and calamari fra diavolo. Both were delicious. The calamari was very tender and especially good.I had the Crab Houezel Salad and it was really good. My niece liked her Siracusa Chicken and said it was not too spicy for her. (She's 12). Others had the stuffed shrimp and the Pasta Bianca and everyone loved their dishes.Our server was very nice and efficient. Our water glasses were filled often. Only thing was they didn't have a bar tender, so our waitress had to mix our drinks in addition to waiting on us. Poor girl! She was running her tail off.The decor was tasteful and had nice touches of holiday decorations around the room. It was really chilly when we first sat at our table. We noticed the door beside our table was ajar and letting cold air blow in. We told the waiter and he took a chair outside to prop against the door to keep it shut. Then we were fine. This is a really good restaurant in Monroeville. It's kind of hard to see from the road. But once you find it, you'll be glad you did.

Waiting outside the front for others to arrive was extremely disgusting. It smelled worse than a dirty ashtray. There were cigarette butts everywhere on the ground including stuck into cracks in the outside walls. For Easter Brunch, the food was too much like dinner. There were ten of us and it took forever to get the food out. When my husband went to the men's room he was told we were taking too long, but we ordered as soon as asked and left immediately after paying. The last issue,there were The one good thing, our waiter was nice.

Pictures on Yelp looked good, so we decided to have dinner here.Very disappointed with the food quality for the price they charge.Salad was fresh, onion soup was good, but the main meal was disappointing.Crab and shrimp angel pasta was extremely oily and too salty, just not edible.Veal parmigiana pasta was not tasty either, soggy meat over noodle and super acidic and cheap marinara sauce. Too expensive for what they are. Friendly service.

Nice, clean and quite place with nice and very polite staff. Not a noisy crowded place, however a low volume music was playing. We started with warm sliced bread and butter, continued with salad. Food was delicious, healthy and very well cooked. Medium well cooked ribeye steak was cooked very good with no additional unnecessary sauce. Salmon was cooked as requested.

Don't really recommend for takeout. I recently ordered the goat cheese app, club sandwich, and chicken salad sandwich for my friend and I, to-go, during lunch. We shared everything. Club sandwich was by far the best item. I ordered fries with it that I didn't get. The goat cheese app was horrible. The toast points were rock hard and stale. The goat cheese was disgusting, it tasted old, and it ended up getting thrown away. I waited in the bar area for 15 minutes for my order, after the time it was supposed to be ready. My food was sitting in the kitchen (could see it from the windows in the kitchen doors), and the bartender was no where to be found. The restaurant was empty in the middle of the day. I'm also pretty sure that there was an automatic gratuity added to the takeout order. I wanted to like this place because my best friend lives just down the road, and there aren't many other more upscale restaurants nearby, other than coast and main. I would like to dine in sometime because it has a nice, clean banquet area and outside.

We had a great experience at Wooden Nickel this evening. Our server at the bar was Kim and she was extremely personable. The food was good, no complaints. We'll definitely be back, especially for their happy hour specials!

Walked into the restaurant and was greeted with " I don't think we have any tables". Hostess walked away and didn't say anything. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated because "we're out of tables" (the dining area has 7 tables open), our hostess gratuitously served us water in dirty glasses. The young waiter (poor kid was alone) took about 10-15 minutes to take our order and offer more water. We had our order taken at 242pm and at 338pm got our food. No bread with pasta? Food presented well, but lacked flavor. There were two Obnoxious patrons sitting adjacent to our table who were 3-4Martinis in and talking at the top of their voices about Politics, Same Sex Marriage, and IVF, and everything else. This dining experience was Horrible.
