Wooden Angel Restaurant

Wanted to try this nice restaurant for my birthday/anniversary dinner. Upon walking in it was very nice inside and not very busy at 5pm on a Wednesday. We sat in the dining room side. As a starter I ordered a cup of lobster bisque and it was very good. They offer homemade garlic bread which was good. While looking at the prices on the menu they seemed kind of steep. When ordering, the waitress said the rack of lamb was what they are known for so I said welp let me try it. My wife order the panko chicken. We got our meals and the presentation was very nice. Both tasted excellence. I could have kept eating that lamb it was so good. They added sour cream, bacon, and cheese to the baked potato. My wife usually never eats her entire meal but she did here. We typically never order desert but this time we did. My wife got the warm apple desert and I got the strawberry cheese cake. She loved hers but my cheesecake was just ok, I've had better. It was definitely a nice establishment, pretty pricey although the food was worth it.

We have been to the Wooden Angel numerous times. It is one of our favorite places. The service is outstanding. The food is delicious and the wait staff are always there to fill your glass with water or ask do you need anything else. In fact, when we were there, the kitchen was a little backed up and our waitress gave us free drinks. You just can't beat that service. I've seen other reviews that complained about the food And the service and I have no idea what they are talking about. You can't beat this place for the prices and the excellent food. I highly highly recommend this restaurant.

Very cozy restaurant with delicious food. Erin was our server and she was fantastic. We will definitely return and would love to enjoy the new patio. Also discussing using the wine cellar for our wedding!

It was hard for me to write this review because my mother had a good time, but the reality is that our experience at the Wooden Angel was very far below our expectations.I reserved a special room for 12 family members for a special birthday party at 5pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was not crowded or overwhelmed.Unfortunately, half of us had issues with our meals! Several meals needed to be sent back. The other meals needed additional or omitted items. My son's steak was RAW!! My sister's steak, ordered Medium Well, was medium rare. My sister's steak was sent back twice before she gave up and didn't want any meal at all. The vegetables on the meals returned to the kitchen were not replaced so those plates returned with cold sides. There were multiple levels of issues with 6 of the 12 meals that shat should not come from a high-end kitchen.Regardless, whether it was a major or minor issue, it felt like it was their first time ever dealing with a group of 12. They have a managerial issue that I suspect will NOT be fixed. They DO NOT have their act together...certainly not as a high-end restaurant...at very high prices. They are resting on their prior reputation which is not reflective of there current product.I expected a WHOLE lot more from the Wooden Angel and they miserably failed to meet the basics of reasonable expectations. Conclusion: I DO NOT recommend this restaurant. Obviously, they have serious issues since the previous owner's passing. My wife and I drove here from the Mountaineer Resort in WV for our anniversary on account of the resort having no decent restaurants open during the week. It's about a 40 minute drive. The property is a bit confusing as there is a casual restaurant on one side and this restaurant's entrance is in the back of the property. We sat outside on the patio on a pleasant evening. We tried two of the soups, roasted red pepper and lobster bisque, shared a crab cake and had prime rib and a a steak. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our server was friendly and attentive. We felt sort of bad because she had to walk so far from the restaurant to the patio. We had key lime pie for dessert and had a couple of drinks. It's no wonder why this place has been around for so long. Also, in case anyone is interested, I had Google Assistant book my reservation for me. I had never used that before and any of you Android users are skeptical, let me assuage those concerns by saying that it worked perfectly.

The food is fine dining and upscale. The ambience is striking. Massive collection of collection of domestic wines. And the wait staff is always knowledgeable and courteous. Ask for Alexis if she's working.

This cozy romantic restaurant is located in Beaver, PA Excellent food , great servers, beautiful presentation and a wide wine list. Don't forget the delicious dessert. We will continue visiting for lunch, dinner and special occasions.

Service was slow and I did not like the servers attitude and the food took forever.everyone else was nice but the servers looked like they hated there jobs.

I love the outdoor patio! Food is delicious and not the same heavy and bland fare you find at the other "nicer" restaurants in Beaver County. Great variety and high quality.

Awesome food and service at a decent price. The dining area had great ambiance. Loved how quickly the food came out and how the temperature was just right.
