I've been eating at Wings Ole since it was Wings and Things located in what's now known as The Wharf District - 35+ years. The food has always been great, but a little pricey. But I was more than willing to pay extra because the food was so great. I wish I could say that about the food I got there this evening. I ordered a Hot Chicken Burrito, 2 potato skins, a soft drink and 2 orders of Bleu Cheese Dressing. The total came to $20.09 - even accounting for inflation, that's way, way more than I used to pay. Unfortunately, I can't say anything good about the food I got. The temperature of my burrito was tepid at best - they used to be hot and steaming. The hot part of the burrito comes from Jalapeño peppers put on it - they were all concentrated in about 1/3 of the burrito. I was given 4 potato skins, but I only paid for 2 (still was $20+). The potato skins were about a third the size of what they used to serve. They used to be served so hot you had to wait for them to cool off a bit before you could eat them. These were also tepid at best - and they were tough and kinda blah in taste. I must say that the Bleu Cheese Dressing did not disappoint. But last time I was there (a couple years ago), they cost $0.50 each - today it cost $2.34 for 2.Wings Ole has been a Morgantown tradition since the 70's. If what I got tonight is indicative of their normal food, I don't foresee it lasting to 2030.

DirtyThis restaurant looks filthy and a little murdery. After paying an outrageous price for a wing sampler and chips, I waited over 20 min to be repeatedly asked if anyone had taken my order... I finally left. Having no food and no chance of a refund. Please do Morgantown a favor and close.

Great service, nice portion sizes! The food and atmosphere are average/nothing super special. The blue cheese is very good! The menu is a mix of Mexican with some bar food favorites thrown in. It's a good place to grab a beer and eat wings and tacos with friends.

I don't quite know what to say about this place. It isn't Mexican. It isn't quite American. But on the Sunday that I visited to meet my Dad to give him my kids so I could go on vacation and it seemed like it was the only restaurant open in Morgantown, it was delicious. This is a strange place. The sign says "Wings Ole Specialty Restaurant." WTF does that mean? Yes, they have wings. "Ole" implies slightly Mexican...but "Specialty" implies NOT Mexican, as you could have put "Wings Ole Mexican Restaurant" on the sign. After learning that Morgantown Brewing Company was closed, and that Black Bear Burritos was similarly closed (does no one eat out in Morgantown on Sunday?), my Dad, the kids, and I thought "why not?" and walked in.Now here's the weird thing: it was weirdly delicious. I had a "fried burrito" (chimichanga?) and a taco. They didn't have a traditional meat in them; it was like they were stuffed with a delicious Sloppy Joe-like concoction. They were both a touch greasy (one was a fried burrito stuffed with greasy meat! - how could they not be greasy?!), but both eminently satisfying. I almost went back to the counter and ordered some more.I am not sure if I returned for a 2nd visit I would be as delighted with this place as I was on this one particular visit. Was I starving so it came across as magically delicious? Or was it genuinely good? I don't know. Based on the words in this review, I think I would have an impossible time talking my wife into a visit the next time we pass through Morgantown...but if I'm ever in Morgantown by myself (or with someone with a little more adventurous/less choosy palate), I will be going for a second try to see if I was just deranged that day, or if this place has genuine so-bad-it's-delicious appeal.

A dark, dingy place. Employees were friendly enough, but food very bland. Had to wait 20 minutes. Bathroom was disgusting. Cold too. I hope I don't get food poisoning by eating here. I have a three hour drive home.

Worst restaurant experience ever. Carpet was laid on June 20, 1863, the day WV officially became a state. Gross bathrooms. Sat a table for 20 minutes then asked if they were serving. Was advised by a Santa Claus impersonator, "yes, we're a restaurant for Christ's sake." If you have to be reminded that you're in a restaurant when you are in the restaurant, you're in the wrong place. Once a Morgantown staple, this place would be better suited for a rest stop on the turnpike, serving toilet paper only. Stood at the counter for another 15 minutes watching an employee making ranch dressing without turning her back to take our order. They had chairs strewn around the main section of the restaurant. Looks like a WVU bonfire without a couch. The two customers with to-go orders socially distanced and were masked. My suggestion would be to mask the entire restaurant and socially distance from the place forever.

This is probably one of the worst restaurants one could eat at here in Morgantown! I don't understand why people think this is a good restaurant at all. The only thing I think off is that it may hold memories to when these people were in college. Anyways, the food is horrendous. The "blue" for the fries and blue has one piece of blue cheese in some ranch. The food is also very expensive for the quality you are getting. The atmosphere is nothing great either speaking since the place looks as though it hasn't been cleaned in a while. You'd get some better fries and a quesadilla at Taco Bell!

I've always come here when I'm in town to visit my grandparents. It's not your typical Mexican food or wings. Actually I usually stay away from the wings. However there is just something about their tacos and burritos that is so unique. I love them. And of course, the fries and blue are great. If you want a cheap bite to eat. I definitely recommend Wing Olé.

Stopped here with my daughter, reluctantly, because of the Fairmont location. Wow, I was completely blown away by the food portions and quality. Here is my only complaint. Why is the Fairmont location so God awful? This location's burritos were filled to the rim...easily 20-25% larger than Fairmont's. Every other item we had was twice as large as what Fairmont charges; all at the same prices. The wings, potato skin and fries' portion finally felt like I was getting my moneys worth. This is never the case at the Fairmont location. I really hope upper management sees this post and makes the necessary changes at their Fairmont location to bring the same quality as they obviously pride themselves with at their downtown Morgantown location!
