Wings & a Prayer

Very nice BBQ and Southern style place. They have somewhat limited hours, being open only to the early evening, but I finally got a chance to try out their food recently. It was very good. I got to try out their catfish sandwich, sweet potato pie, and the cornbread.The catfish sandwich was very tasty. Simple, cheap, but very nice. The fish seemed to be quite fresh. It was seasoned an adequate amount. The sandwich bun was pretty standard but solid. I will say they don't include anything on their sandwiches besides the fish, though, so that might be a bit of a drawback. A sauce might have been nice.The sweet potato pie was interestingly packaged but tasted quite nice. I believe it is homemade. Great texture, almost creamy in a way. Perfect balance of sweetness.The cornbread came in a really nice portion, but it was kind of just average. Not too flavorful, and for me, it was too crumbly. Not bad, just not great or memorable to me.All in all, I enjoyed this place. I really like how they leave prayer notes/verses with the packaging as well. It's a very nice touch. The food was also quite good. Nice fish and desserts are solid too.

Fantastic wings and white fish. Such a nice restaurant and sweet owner. Onion rings were a perfect side.

This place is amazing. I cannot say enough about the sauce on the ribs. I was licking the container and using every piece of wonderbread in the house to sop it up. The yams are soooooo sweet, so if you have a sweet tooth this is where to go. The cornbread has been perfect each time I've had it--the right spot between crumbly and sticky. And everyone there treats you like family. I wanted to just sit down and stay awhile. Stupid covid.

Got the wings and a prayer for lunch - perfectly fried chicken. Will be back for the ribs sometime soon. Nice owner/chef and easy to get to in the East End. Yes, there was a prayer in with the wings.

This was my second time eating at Wings and a Prayer and I will definitely be coming back! I got the fish and chicken dinner. Delicious whiting and three perfectly cooked fried wings, with yams and greens for a side. Perfect. And the owners are incredibly kind. Will be ordering from this spot again.

Wingz and a Prayer is a great choice. The service was friendly and the food incredibly flavorful. The desserts were delicious and I had an overall good time. The ambiance was cozy. It felt like a fushion between a living room and a cafe. 10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely delicious! Loved it would recommend to anyone & will continue to be getting more. Yummm!

The lady who greets you is so nice and welcoming that you feel at home. The wings are one of the best I have in PA.

I got the featured dinner greens Mac n cheese baked wings omg FIRE I recommend the place to eat when your family ain't cooking the food was delicious chicken just right not dry greens full of flavor baked macaroni moist and cheezy

I liked the wings ok but the sides -cabbage and fries, awful. Greasy and tasteless. The Fish tasted like it was cooked with skin and skin wasn't removed. Bitter and dry. Don't waste you money. I know I won't again.
