We've been to over 40 wineries and I can say without a shadow of a doubt this is a top notch place. John is so sweet and really knowledgeable about wine and smoking meats. We really enjoyed spending the afternoon at their home sipping all they had to offer and nibbling on the soppressata made by John just to feed his customers. He's about as sweet as you can get. The wine has won many awards and one taste you'll know why.

Winfield Winery is a great place to visit if you're in the area. It is off the beaten path a little but well worth the trip as there is a large selection of award winning homemade wines! The owner, John, could not be more down to earth! He is so nice and helpful! He built the shop which located behind his house. While semi-sweet wines are my favorite, there is a wide selection! Something for every wine lover here. The prices are very reasonable as well, around $10-$15 a bottle. He also often has homemade cheeses and meats (like sopressata) for tasting with the wine! I look forward to making another trip! Another hidden gem which I was fortunate to find!

Just left this winery, John and Linda were two of the warmest and kindest people you would ever want to meet! And while meeting nice people is one of the perks of doing a wine tour, the wine is an integral part of the experience obviously. Let me just say that this may be one of my most favorite wineries ever! I am picky and have never really found a winery that I can run the whole gamut of sweetness of the wines, dry to sweet and actually like them all. Some I would have to say, I loved! This was the first winery we stopped at today, so no, my judgement is not impaired! A wonderful experience and I am happily driving away with a case of wine in the trunk! Come planning on buying a case, you won't be able to leave with just a few bottles! They also give you amazing snacks and home made treats. We need to figure out how to talk him into selling the delicious smoked cheese and salami! Thanks again to John and Linda! Can't wait to see you again!
