Wonderful place to get away into a quiet place. It's not as frequented by many as other parks are in Allegheny County, quiet tall trees and trails that roll along small hills. I recommend the orange trail, especially for its nice foraging spot for a variety of edible (and as a caution, non-edible!) plants and fungi.

Very nice park. I had never been here before today, but was invited to attend a birthday party at the Chestnut Pavilion, and was pleasantly surprised. The playground had a lot of cool equipment for the kids to use, the pavilion was well maintained, and the restrooms were clean, and well stocked with soap and towels. Great place for a nice picnic.

Neighboring communities should come a see the White Oak DOG PARK. None in the area come close. It's a huge fenced in area, with a separate access and yard for the littles. There is a cemented pavilion with picnic tables for the humans, a supplied hand sanitizer dispenser, water access in the warm months, poop bags and well-maintained garbage cans. Our dog loves this park and so do we - we have to travel 25 minutes to get here, but it is totally worth the travel.A+++ Way to go WHITE OAK!

This park has 9+ miles of hiking trails, a dog park and a several community park outdoor areas. There really is something for everyone. I stick to the hiking trails but this is a great place overall, probably the best park I've ever been too, simply because it has such variety. I can't say how much I love these trails. They are awesome. I don't mountain bike, but there are lots of mountain biking courses too.

I just moved to the area and I love this park! It is so much better than Boyce park. It has a dog park which makes this park even better. Well maintained. Well monitored.
