Wheelhouse

No complaints on my end ! This isn't the first time I have eaten here but it has been awhile. A lot of restaurants /eateries change names / companies in the Rivers Casino so it says a lot that Wheelhouse has been there for a long long time ! My husband and I came here to eat before the Steeler game so we could do a little gambling as well. Though they were pretty packed , they managed to get us a small two top table .Service was pretty quick with drinks and food. Server friendly enough. I enjoyed the pittsburgh Cobb salad with chicken and my husband had the burger. Both absolutely wonderful! The portions are pretty big so you will certainly leave full , if not with left overs.I have also sat at the bar before and it wasn't a bad experience. Bartenders are super busy and certainly not there to chat, but I get it for the business they do! Atmosphere is very modern and simple. Not a ton of decor but who needs that when you have sports on their many many tvs! Great place to dine if you're going to enjoy a casino or north shore night.

We waited 20 minutes before the waitress even acknowledged us or took drinks during a 1/3 full dining capacity. Not only that we were supposed to have a different waiter but she covered for him as he came 25 mins after asking if we got menus. It wasn't busy during that time either. So right off the jump, this place wasn't my favorite.The salad was good and definitely worth the price but enough for 2 meals - very excessive amount. I wish I read that there was fries and bleu cheese crumbles in it - had to pick both out. The spinach artichoke dip was delicious but very small amount of that was given (see photo basically small gravy size bowl).I do like the comfortable dim lighting and seating with plenty space between tables.

Went to the Rivers on a Friday night and decided to get a late nite eat at the wheelhouse. There were no two seats together at the bar so since it didn't look busy at all we asked for a table. They obliviously didn't want to seat us at a table since they to referred us back to the bar. I mentioned there were not two seats together and they said one of us could stand until something opened. Shot that idea down. The dining area seemed pretty open and some time spent looking at the seating chart they seated us behind the notorious pillar where you aren't readily visible and that's been referred to in other reviews. Needless to say no one approached us for our order or drinks. After about 15 minutes I was done and let the host that seated us know. Terrible experience by people who don't care. Letting a server know you seated someone in there section is not a hard thing to do.

First time here. Went around 530 or 6. Right during rush hour. We were able to get a text when our table was ready. We requested for a specific table and they were able to do that for us. The place was busy but everything came out quickly. They had a ton of drink options and the food menu had a little of everything. The food was very well prepared. The white fish was buttery and flaky. It tasted fantastic. The steak was a perfect medium rare and well seasoned. It wasn't chewy like some steaks are. The garlic butter gave it. A real pop. It's the casino so there was ample parking. Eventhough the casino was smokey the restaurant was not. I'd definitely try this place again.

Wheelhouse is a lifesaver. If you are in town and want a good meal after 9pm. Come to wheelhouse, because most restaurants close at 9-10pm even on weekend. Dinning area is huge. TVs on all the walls. Full menu of burger, sandwich, pasta and steak. $24.61 for a big bowl of chicken pasta with a salad is not bad in 2024. Taste better than some of the so call homemade Italian restaurant I been to. Pasta is just right, al dente. Service is good even they are busy at 10pm. Definitely coming back for more.

I've eaten in the Wheelhouse multiple times over the years but this is my first review. My most recent visit was during happy hour. I had an 8oz NY Strip which was good, a little fat on the end but tasty. I had chili which was really good and my Sierra Nevada was excellent.Being seated at the bar my food came out promptly. Overall I've never had a bad meal here, and typically the food comes out quickly. I'd definitely recommend stopping in for a visit.

I could have sworn I've rated the Wheelhouse before, but don't see my review. We come here often before games or concerts. The food is always decent and the service is friendly. If you're in the right spot, you have TVs to watch sports if you'd like (quite a few TVs) or a view of the river. They have a good happy hour, too.Normally, the burgers I get there are very good and so is the rest of the food we've had there. The one time I had a very over cooked burger, they did offer to replace it and send a manager out to talk to me.

We had no intention of eating here, we were just going to play slots for a little bit and then leave for some fancy restaurant. But we played longer than expected and wanted to play again after dinner, so we decided to take a break from gambling and eat here. At 8pm there was no line at all, no wait and the host was so sweet. She accommodated our request to sit by the window to look out at the river. So mind you, we were not expecting much after having read the reviews but we honestly got great service from our waiter, Jamie. She kept checking on us (but not in a hovering way). We started with Garlic Parmesan chicken wings and no kidding, they were better than Wingstop or any of those chicken wing specialty places, plump and juicy. The side salad was perfect, with sliced cucumbers and the croutons were nice and crunchy. We didn't want anything too heavy to slow us down so we shared the pasta. The cavatappi was cooked al dente and the NY steak strips came out perfectly, medium rare as I requested. Before dinner, I expected to rate this place 3-4 stars based on the reviews. But honestly, this was a lovely dinner in nice surroundings with friendly, attentive staff.

Really great service! Friendly and personable! Food was delicious! Portions were generous!

Sat at the bar on a Thursday night. Took about 6-7 minutes for a bartender to come over even though it didn't seem that busy. Ordered a Yuengling draft and a burger and things went south immediately. Beer was flat and warm. Bartender never came back so I didn't ask for a replacement. A different staffer came out with my burger after 30 minutes. Again it wasn't busy at all. Still no sign of the bartender. She walked around confused about where it went until I flagged her down and said it was probably mine. Ordered my burger medium but it came out pretty raw. Definitely seemed like a frozen Sysco burger and not something freshly made. Only took a couple of bites. Still never saw the original bartender who took my order. They leave your bill in a glass in front of if your seat, and when another bartender noticed I had it out with my card she took payment. No "how is everything." No check in. Inattentive service. Flat, warm beer. Raw burger. Awful, awful experience. If I'm ever planning a visit to the casino again I will plan to eat before or after. This place was awful.
