Vinnie's Tavern

Place was packed though we stopped on the night of the big fight aka Netflix fail. Was able to walk in and get a table no issue though. The place was nice, the upstairs space looked amazing. The pop was strong and needed to be brixed and have the syrup to carbonated water mix adjusted and might need a new cabonator as well. Wait staff was friendly and welcoming. Tons of TVs in the place on every wall but a lot were not on. Though plenty were. I got the open face hot turkey sandwich, my wife got the Rueben and subbed for white bread. We got potato skins for our appetizer. I ordered chicken noodle soup with my meal. The potato skins were delicious and cooked perfectly! The sour cream was even made better with some dried chives. The chicken noodle soup was a little thicker and creamy and delicious. I enjoyed every bite! The hot turkey was ok, the bread was burnt and hard which made it hard to enjoy. The Rueben was ok, the meat was very hard/tough. Hard to chew but the taste was ok. She really loved the chips and french onion dip. It appeared to be homemade and it was the best one she ever had and she's sort of an French dip aficionado. Overall I would probably go back again, it was a decent time and we really liked the atmosphere.

The service was wonderful, Giovanna was so nice and made sure we didn't want for anything. We went on wing night. The best wings I've had in years!! A nice and very clean place!! I recommend this place. I think it's the best in Oakmont!!

Still want of the best bars in Oakmont... but it's lost some of its charm since ownership changed hands and the name (oakmont tavern). On the plus side, they have more large screen digital tvs than a bestbuy in Timesquare and only a few are monitoring you the patrons instead of vice versa.

Have been back a few times recently and this place has made some great improvements. I'm actually not sure if it's still considered "Oakmont Tavern" or if it's been renamed to "Vinnie's". Anyway, they've completely renovated the place inside and out and it looks fantastic. Lots of TVs, great for games. The menu has been revamped as well. Everything I've had recently has been very good. Staff friendly. Would definitely recommend checking them out.

First time there, so glad we stopped for lunch. Very clean. Service was wonderful. We shared the Classic Italian sub, it was very good. Will definitely be back.

Make a good burger and fries in a friendly atmosphere...TV's everywhere so you won't miss your favorite game. Staff is friendly as is the crowd.

After numerous invites from some friends i finally went there this evening. It was a beautiful evening with the front garage door open. A couple sitting outside and 3 or 4 folks at the bar. As I walked in the entrance the bartender smiled at me as i told her i was joining my friends. They arrived a few minutes ahead of me, already had a drink and ordered their food. I sat with them waiting for someone to wait on me but nobody showed. The kitchen help delivered their food and i asked her for a menu and if i could order a drink. She gave me a munu and nobody ever returned. There were sereral employees and only a few patrons so they were Not understaffed. I tried numerous times to find someone to get me a drink and take my order but was ignored. I was really hungry especially after watching my friends devour their food but still being ignored. Waited over a half hour. No drink order, no food order. Guess they dont need my business. Never again. I know retail, I understand staffing but tonight was totally unacceptable. You dont need to own every bar in oakmont if you cant even wait on your new customers

Construction isn't the issue. Staff was nice, super hot inside , just kinda looks dirty in general. Beer was good , burger was a hit , the rest was average at best . 1st timer and not sure a 2nd visit is in the future. Nothing exciting .

Been here 5 times straight and am a miller lite draft drinker. All 5 times was given the line of BS line that the miller keg was "kicked" and they couldn't get any more. The 5 times were over several months. They have miller lite until a certain time then they say it's "kicked" and put a cup on the tap. Same owner as carnivores restaurant down the street and they also do the same thing. All so they can sell $5,50 bottles.

I thought the place looked fabulous the food was good as well! Much brighter & cleaner than Oakmont Tavern! The biggest downside, for me, was the step to get in. I am in a wheelchair and my friend had to get the ramp out of my car and set it up! No one offered any help. I was told there is a ramp to eat on the roof top but we were unable to find it!
