Vickey’s Soul Grill Catering

Decided to try this place after seeing it on TikTok. We pulled up round 450. We were scared because they told us they aren't taking any more orders. Ms. Vickey herself came out and told us the reason. Very sweet kind hearted lady from the vibe I got. They had 2 large parties so I get it. They ended up allowing us to sneak a order in. THANK YOU! I got the fried whiting, yams, Mac, and peach cobbler. My babe got the 2 piece chicken, Mac and collard. They serve kool aid so he grabbed that (the house look aid) One thing I didn't like, while we were waiting for our food a couple came in and they took their order right away..... but for us they told us they weren't going to take it..... I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that MAYBE they decided to just take orders after us but i don't know..... not coolLocation is in a a catering hall. Lots of parking. Seating was limited from what I saw but they also had 2 big parties (decorated). I bought turkey ribs, fried chicken, collard greens, linguine salad and cornbread. The meal was fantastic. The turkey ribs and chicken are pricey but delicious. The greens were seasoned with the right amount of vinegar and red pepper flakes. The linguine salad had a delicious dressing. The cornbread tasted "almost" like cake.VSG has relocated from the Monroeville Mall to Penn Hills off Rodi Road. At the new location she does takeout and catering only.

First, they didn't follow my special instructions of having a wing & breast meal. It didn't come with the cornbread as ordered. The candied yams weren't cooked all the way & the greens tasted like canned glory greens. I came, went, and won't return.

Ordered off of Uber eats got the family chicken meal and wow food was great. Every time I order from here it's good going to try the other family meals. So glad places have meals for families.

Tried Vickys 2piece cod with the side of cabbage and sweet potato. Let me say the food was delicious! Very tasty seasoned well fried cod, tasty sweet potato with pineapple and the cabbbage!! I will be back again.
