Here you see the Genoese built Galata Tower as probably seen from Eminonu, all of which are crisscrossed by the Bosphorus.

Great food and service. Tried the Beef Kababs with rice and Lamb Shank. Loved it. Saffron tea is also very good. Will be back for sure. Great to have authentic Afghan and Persian food in the Burgh.

Been here several times over the past year and the food has declined tremendously. Valentine's Day I ordered takeout , chicken gyro with rice, hummus, lamb gyro wrap and lamb Adana kebab with rice. The lamb wrap was terrible, there were dill pickle slices all throughout it and the pickle juice made the wrap bread soggy and the fries that were inside were soggy and mushy from the pickle juice. I never ever had pickles with Mediterranean food .. ever.. it was inedible. I assumed I was just ordering a lamb gyro how it's normally served. The chicken was dry and had no flavor whatsoever, and the hummus was a tangerine color, extremely oily and gross. My husband spent $85 on this meal and I threw it in the trash, even the side salads were inedible, whatever dressing they put on it was extremely sour and tasted spoiled. I also noticed 2 disturbing things when I picked the order up. The chef behind the line cooking did not appear to be practicing hygienic methods , I watched him wipe his face and brow then continue cooking all sweaty. And the most disturbing thing I witnessed was a 2-3 year old child laying on a cot behind the front counter right by the cooking line wearing no shoes, the bottoms of her poor feet were filthy and she was wrapped up in a blanket rolling around on the cot. Omg! First thing I thought is what a hazard, that poor baby could get hurt in a million different ways in that kitchen. I used to enjoy this restaurant, but unfortunately I will never return, i personally do not feel right supporting people who place their children in situations so unsafe, and with the cooks hygiene that day I am convinced that they can not care too much about their food they are serving customers if they show such a lack of concern about personal care and the care of a innocent child. I truly hope the owners find safe child care for that little girl and do not subject her to restaurant day care. I'd hate to see her get hurt in a kitchen filled with dangers.

Whoa, this place was amazing. The dining area is beautiful and clean the service was excellent. The prices are on the higher end of average and worth it because the food is just so damn good. I had the Zereshk Polo and my sister had the Chicken Kofte and we cleaned our plates. It was all incredibly well cooked and spiced. Just a gem of a place that I would recommend to anyone. Park in the street and walk a bit. It's fine. Just go.

It was cold and rainy night and we came for a nice comforting dinner. The heater was right behind my table and it warmed me up immediately. Service was prompt and polite. I still can't believe I can now order gormeh sabzi in a restaurant in Pittsburgh. Many years ago, you can only experience this dish at a Persian friend's home. I LOVED their salads and the dressing. So refreshing and fresh tasting. The lamb shank fell off the bones, the rice were all so flavorful and delicious. And the kunefe was piping hot and ended our dinner on such a high point. The dinner was a homemade dinner that is comforting and delicious. The flavors were so yummy and authentic. Reminds me of a he home cooking of my Persian friends. We are so glad we came and will definitely be coming back again.

I specifically came here because I saw that they had knafe on their menu. But of course I had to try some of the food before I got to dessert. I went on a Monday night, glad they were open on Monday, most restaurants in Pittsburgh aren't. There are a decent amount of tables in the restaurant, shouldn't ever be a hard time getting a table there.I ordered one of their lamb dishes for my entrée, it came with rice and salad. There is pita bread for the table to share as well. The lamb was very flavorful and plentiful. Was definitely feeling full after the entrée but I came for dessert! And so dessert I ordered. The kunefe was delicious. I recently went to Istanbul in August and have been craving this dessert and as you can imagine, it's hard to find specific cultural foods in Pittsburgh. I'm not going to say that this tasted like the ones I had in turkey but it definitely satisfied the craving and was very delicious. I'd probably come back just to order this again. But if you were considering coming here for the full dining experience, I would also recommend that as well.

Fabulous food! Falafel is crisp and light and the hummus is to die for. Pita is soft and chewy. Mantu is flavorful. The Babaganush is creamy and balanced. Water comes in small bottles which feels wasteful. But the food is great and you should absolutely stop here!

This time we tried combo platter (sth like tour of Iran) including lamb kabab, chicken kabab, chicken, lamb shank, ghormeh and gheymeh stew, lamb chops, bread Under kabab and two rices. In one big dish you can try all famous, delicious and traditional Iranian food. Just don't miss it. We went there to celebrate a birthday and once they found that they surprised us with a delicious cream caramel and a candle on the top. Turkish Grill and Aria Persian cuisine restaurant with the new management and staff is running on the right track. Take a good care of customers, cleanliness and making high quality middle eastern food is part of their service.

I need to update my review because this place has a new name and new management. The only restaurant serving Persian cuisine in Pittsburgh at this time. I am a Persian cuisine lover so I have to review this place. The place is small and beautiful. It still has large pictures of Istanbul on the wall and has not yet tried to change the ambiance to Persian. The service was nice and lovely but it was not fast and timely. We were a large group and it took a relatively long time for them to put all the orders on the table. They didn't have some of the items of their menu. It's not good. I ordered both Irani ( koobideh and ghormeh sabzi) and Afghani ( ghaboli polo) dishes. The Iranian ones were much better. Of course not perfect. For example the herbs in ghormeh sabsi were too finely ground. However, overall, they offered very good and authentic Persian dishes. For alcohol, it is a BYOB place. After the dinner we had tea and baghlawa. The price was very reasonable. Actually it was surprisingly low. We really enjoyed our visit and meeting the new managers who are so nice and lovely was a great pleasure.
