I live in the South Hills of Pittsburgh which puts me not at all far from this spot, and I don't understand how I haven't been here previously. A friend asked me if I would like to go out to get some berries. We got there after berry picking time for the day, which closed around 2 PM, but there was still plenty of time to buy berries in their market, freshly picked by their workers, and enjoy other fun things at the farm!We fed the goats, who were the sweetest, tamest goats I have ever met. (Frankly, they completely changed my opinion about goats, with which I have had some unpleasant memories in the past.) You can pay a quarter for some food and feed it to them by hand, and not a single one took it from me anything less than gently. There is also a super cute feature where you can send some food up to goats standing at the top of the pen via a pulley system. There were several baby goats here when we visited and they were ridiculously adorable. From there it was a stop at the café window where we ordered strawberry lemonade slushies that were an absolute delight. It was late in the day and they were out of several of the food offerings; I was told by my friend that the hot pretzel is fantastic, but didn't get to find out. So I went with some freshly made donuts, and it was only a few dollars for half a dozen blueberry donuts. They are wonderful eaten fresh just like this, but when you take them home you can heat them up for 10 seconds to get that just-out-of-the-oven taste. Finally we stopped in the shop which is full of all kinds of home, pantry and fresh food items. I came home with a pint of raspberries, a big bunch of strawberries (last of the season!), jars of pickled beets and bread and butter pickles, and a block of baby Swiss cheese. Everything has been absolutely fantastic and it would be easy to go absolutely wild in this store. Lots of events here during different seasons, especially apple and pumpkin season in fall which is their busiest time. After that they close for the year at Halloween. Come out and pick some berries or fresh lavender here this summer! It's a local gem.

Local farmers will always get top ratings from me. I can't thank them enough for their dedication and all of the hard work that goes into maintaining their farms.Today's visit was another reminder of how appreciative I am for having the convenience, and access, to a nice variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, preserves, pickles, and much more. This farm offers its visitors so much more than just fresh goods. One can pick their own berries, visit animals on the farm, or spend time in the play and picnic area. Great outing for families. No outside food or drinks are permitted as they offer food on-site. Staff was helpful and friendly.

We like coming here end of October. Been here at least 3 times and it's always a pleasure. There's plenty of activities during Halloween for the kids and big kids as well Love the freshly baked pies and of course the fresh produce. There's a small pet farm, corn maze, pick your own apples, and many more things to do.We like to stop at the supermarket before we leave to get a pie to go along with other goodies. It's better to get the tickets online.Always check the website for calendar events.

Really great place to bring your family and friends to harvest apples, flowers, and pumpkins when they are in season like in October. Take lots of memorable pictures too! Bonding time. In the summer of this year we went strawberry picking. It gets a little pricey when tallying up your total spending LOL so be prepared to spend $100+. We paid $15 each (3x = $45) tickets (2 years below are free). You will need to pay for a bag, or a box that they offer depending on what you're harvesting. The bucket, with shear scissors-- if you show your ID, was $26 for fall flower picking. Pretty sunflowers!! There is a playground area for kids, bouncy house, indoor market/souvenirs store, goat farm, peacock, hay rides, porta potties, get lost in a corn maze and big grass lot for free parking with conductors guiding you. Advise to bring jacket or coat... it gets a little chilly and windy this time of year. It's such a HUGE open field.

Love, love, love Triple B Farms! As someone who loves fresh fruits and vegetables, this is my go-to farm. It's a bit of a drive from Pittsburgh but worth every minute because the quality of the crops are unmatched! I've picked strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, and apples here and never been disappointed. The strawberry picking this year was easy; lots of berries and they were quite large. Not quite as sweet as some years when we get more sun . Also while $5 a quart may seem expensive compared to the grocery store, it's actually cheaper than most of the competition. Once you eat fresh picked strawberries you'll find it hard to go back to the underripe ones from California or Mexico.

AVOID Tripple B Farm UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR KIDS TRAUMATIZEDThey have a very old guy that is an employee that drives around in a small trolley around the apple orchard and yell at kids. He even threaten to call the police on them. Unbelievably rude! WORST! HE TOOK PICTURES and Maybe VIDEO of the visitors, and God knows what he will use them for. We reported to the owner and insisted to see the phone so we can be sure they were deleted. BEWARE!!NOT A PLACE FOR FAMILY WITH KIDS! AVOID AT ALL COST!I'd give a negative star if I can.

It was a nice day until we hear an old guy yelled at a couple of kids and made them cry. He was rude to the family and yelled at the top of his lung! It was ridiculous! For a farm advertised for family activities, this incident is not family friendly at all. Totally unacceptable! We took our kids away as we don't want them to be scared also. But seriously! Tripple B should treat their little customers better. There is no excuse for such rudeness. We found out later that this guy is an employee there, and the kids were playing with bad apples that are on the ground. Totally ridiculous to react that way to little kids. We will not be coming back. Not worth the risk! There are nice farms to choose from, you'd better go somewhere else.

Their produce is very overpriced...as expected of most farmer's markets here. I will say, though, that there is a hidden 10% upcharge on everything. Produce is a non taxable item, but even if you pay cash, they charge 7% tax and then a 3% service fee. The people there are kind, but if you ask for anything that's not laid out, like the sign that says 25lb peaches... just be prepared to stand there for half an hour while they prepare it. If you live right next to this place, it may be worth going over to experience what farm fresh produce tastes like. But don't get the zucchini, garlic, cucumber, baked goods, or potatoes. If everything is 3x the price of the grocery store, don't buy stuff that tastes the same... especially since the garlic was questionable...looks like they may have just imported it.
