I came on a Saturday night and it cost $15 pp for the dinner buffet. There was about three tables of varying food to select from. Very typical stuff at a Chinese buffet like general tso, sesame chicken, crab Rangoon, lo mein, etc.. Some of the food were definitely left out longer than it should've been as it was a bit cold/slightly warm side. The sushi wasn't that good. When I did get something that was on the warm side it was somewhat ok. Staff seemed irritated being there. For the cost you can get a lot of food to fill you up, but it wasn't that good. Overall a below average buffet that I wouldn't recommend going to. Food(50%): 3.5Staff/service(25%): 4.0Value(25%): 6.0Overall: 4.2/10

TJ Buffet Sushi And Grill is located in the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills near the Macy's. Has both an interior and exterior entrance as the buffet has later hours then the Galleria. TJ has more than enough seating and is larger than it looks. I was not originally intending to dine here, but after walking by, it smelled really good. I dined here for dinner, and despite it being after 7PM, all items were kept well stocked. Has the standard buffet items you would expect including fried rice, lo mein, chicken and broccoli, dumplings, egg rolls, etc. The sushi options were limited to a handful of rolls, but everything was fresh. Weirdly enough, they had really good French Fries for a buffet. Desert options included various items including fresh fruit, Jello, and several flavors of hard ice cream. Only minor issue was the fountain soda could have been better, but they do offer bottled soda as an option. Service was fast and attentive. Price was fine for a dinner buffet. Overall, I'd return here to dine again without question.

One of the last things standing in the mills. This place is awesome! All of their food is good and I've never had a crispier Rangoon in my life. The service is fast here and they keep their pans full and fresh. They also have takeout by the pound, if that's your jam. The dining area is kinda dark, but it was a really nice space to spread out and chow down. Happy Eating!

I've come to temper my expectations about buffets, having some great ones and a few sad ones over the years. This one stands out as better than middle of the road. I took my son here for his birthday and we both enjoyed the experience.The ambiance is good, kind of dark but not in a bad way. The food is well lit and easy to see. I noticed a few things right from the beginning.There was a wide variety of seafood and every one was good. My son and I both like sea sticks, and found these added to several of the dishes. The scallops stood out, as did the shrimp dishes.I wasn't crazy about the egg rolls, but the tempura on the sushi bar was good. It seemed to me that the chicken dishes were somewhat lacking, while the beef and seafood were very good. I tried the lo mein and found it to be somewhat overcooked and kind of lackluster.We both liked the dumplings.By the time we were ready for dessert, we were both full. Still, we tried a few things and I'm glad we did. The chocolate coffee cake and the orange cake were highlights. My son said that the pudding and banana dessert were both good. I opted for a slice of watermelon. I have to admit that it is pretty hard to screw up a slice of watermelon.Our dishes were cleared away quickly and we weren't pressured into anything we really didn't want. There isn't much service involved with a buffet, but I enjoyed the experience enough to leave a decent tip. For $20 something, it was a good value.You can be sure I'll be back to try it again.There were some things I didn't even notice until I was ready to leave. There are a lot of choices and they're spread out over several areas. I'm a big fan of won ton but didn't get a chance to try it.I'll try more the next time.I can't say it was great, but it was good and I'll be back.

Today was not the best at TJ Sushi. The service is always pretty good. The prices have definitely went up since Covid and haven't fell down. Tonight (7pm) the Green Sauce called Wasabi was a sauce. Definitely not a fan there. The fried fish was hard, I'm not going to go further than to say that nearly everything was just old. The sushi - we picked our favs, they had a decent selection- but again, old... Worst of all was the men's restroom - not going to even mention any more than just that. Best of all was the women's restroom. Freshly cleaned. All in all- compared to all buffets with Sushi on it - still TJ Sushi tops the list. But it's definitely looking lately like it's a downhill battle to second place.

My first time there and it will be my last. Food was descent, typical buffet but service leaves a lot to be desired. She brought us water and took away our empty plates. When bill came to be paid, she demanded a tip. Very rudely by saying she had babies. From where I come from, it is up to the customer whether to tip and especially when it is a self serve restaurant. I realize that she probably doesn't make a lot of money, but neither do I.

Best buffet i has ever been too! The staff was kind (unlike the other diners) the ambiance was perfect, there was no service because it's a buffet! The fries and chicken nuggets tasted EXACTLY like McDonald's, like 1:1! If I could give 10 stars I would!!!

My family and I love this place. Great food at a great price. My girls love making up their own Hibachi, the sushi is fresh and who doesn't love ice cream at the end. Great owner, always clean, and a good atmosphere. Recommend!

The food is only average. Not sure if I'd go back just yet. Only Asian restaurant near me, sometimes I just get hungry for Asian food.Service for takeout is good. Our order is well packaged, with many extras provided. As I've never really eaten on site I can't speak for ambiance, but I do know from the front pickup desk it looks lovely. Decor is quite nice, well in the Asian theme.
