Xavier was a great server and made great recommendations. We loved everything we tried from the tuna and crisp rice appetizer, to the fried haddock sandwich and the shrimp and bacon sandwich. The black walnut old fashioned was delicious and a bit sweet. The beer I tried was excellent. I highly recommend trying this place.

I came here a few times a couple years back but stopped after the head chef was replaced. Noticed the burger quality went down. Cant really speak on the food now since it's been awhile and you'll have to hogtie me to get me anywhere to eat in southside these daysThe cauliflower general Tso's was bomb. Not overly breaded with a good sauce that had a tiny kick to it. Their tater tots are arguably the best I've ever had. Flakey squares with a great crisp, soft inside and doesn't taste like a pile of greaseIt's a gastropub in SouthSide so if you're not familiar with the area it's exactly what you'd expect. Hipster vibes, and not TOTALLY slammed with college kids because of the prices but if brunch expect people getting trashed. Loved it back in the day but now wouldn't be the craziest for me. Go to shady side for calmer vibes if wanna try

We stopped by on Friday 12/27 around 8pm. There was a good amount of people there for a random Friday between two major holidays but we were able to get a table for five right away. We wanted to try the holiday cocktails that were part of the Southside Tinsel Tour but there was some confusion. We were told they didn't have them anymore and so we ordered off the regular menu. A few minutes later we were told they did still have the holiday menu so we happily ordered cocktails off of that.The drinks were very charming and festive with cute little ornaments. They tasted pretty good for what they were and we were happy that we were able to order them after all.We got our drinks and a side of tots and after that no one ever came back to check on us. After a being there about an hour and a half, I got up to look for our server but couldn't find her. I asked someone at the bar about getting our checks and he closed us out immediately and came over to get our cards. He was really nice and apologized saying that our server disappeared and he couldn't find out and gave us 50% off our drinks for the inconvenience.

We were in town from phx! We caught Christmas in July! Food was really really good. Service was great and they had fun choices of coffee drinks Would def come back!

We're pretty happy we stopped in and caught their happy hour. It wasn't super busy, so finding a table was easy. Our waiter was super nice and gets a multitude of kudos for setting my purse aside when I forgot it. We're from WI, so we take cheese curds pretty seriously. Their's had no egg- a perk for avoiding hub's allergy list. The batter was light and wonderfully salty with a squeeze of lemon that helped balance it. The marinara was also delicious. The $5 cocktails are a pretty amazing deal. The cocktails are legit. I love a place that doesn't skimp, and both drinks were a delight.We also tried the pulled pork nachos, and were pleased. We couldn't finish all our food, but we were more than satisfied with everything we ordered. They definitely deserve a visit, especially if you catch their happy hour!

Food was decent and service was okay for a Thursday afternoon. The reason for my rating was due to a rat emerged and started running around. Not sure if this is a one time thing that unfortunately myself and the large group saw but I hope that's not the case.

In a word...AWESOME! Their food is fantastic. Their grits are incredible! We were so pleased with our meal-we will definitely be back. Our server was terrific. I'm somewhat selective (some could call me picky), but I asked for things to be removed and it was no problem at all.Great atmosphere. A great place to socialize and catch up with friends. I definitely liked the Southside location better than the Shadyside; not sure why, the vibe seemed more inviting perhaps.

The short rib poutine was a dream! Probably my favorite thing we tried. We really enjoyed the drinks, atmosphere, and appetizers. I tried the bacon onion jam burger and it was a little on the dry side. I'd suggest asking for it to be cooked medium instead of medium well. A paid parking lot is just a few steps away. We'd definitely return!

I came to this place while visiting Pittsburg because of the happy hour specials. They had $5 cocktails and that had me sold. We got sat right away and I ordered the grilled ginger sesame chicken sandwich with fries and that was alright , I really just needed some food on my stomach. I started off with a strawberry mule which was good. Then I got another drink forgot the name but it had champagne it. I would come again when it town for the happy hour drinks.

Had an amazing lunch. The salads were fresh and delicious. The chicken was grilled perfectly, and the croutons in the caesars salad were outstanding. The service was great. The restaurant was clean and had a great ambiance. I'd like to come back and try more menu items soon. Parking can be a challenge on a busy day, but I had no issues.
