The Trailside

We tried the pizza and found it quite disappointing. The plain pizza had some flavor and the crust was okay. I struggle to find anything that elevates it to where I can say something more. (3/5)The white pizza offers more to comment on. There are times where you encounter too much ricotta cheese, but there was some flavor. I really think they could have mixed melted butter with the olive oil to give some flavor complexity. The crust is okay at best much like the plain pizza. I am just not enjoying it enough to stop by when bicycling. (3/5)The reuben. Not the best but definitely not the worst. I'll give them a plus on this. Russian dressing is the real dressing to use, so maybe 1000 Island makes it a Rockwood Reuben in their eyes.Overall, disappointing especially with the recommendation.

This was our first experience dining at The Trailside and we will definitely be back!! The food was awesome and the staff was super friendly!! We sat on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful weather and could still hear the music. I definitely recommend the coconut mojito it was delish!

Ok not the best gyro a little greasy but after biking all day you dont really care, wish their was more restaurants in the area. They should have a meal specifically for biking.

After riding 20 miles on the Great Allegheny Passage a cold brew and lunch was just what we wanted. The Trailside is truly on the trail. The trail head parking is just steps away from the pub. Nothing fancy about this place but it is clean and the service is friendly. We sat at the bar on a Thursday afternoon, it wasn't very crowded. The bar had a lot of TV Screens with sports playing. Quite a few brews on tap. The lunch menu offered salads, wraps, sandwiches and some starters. The larger entree's aren't available until 4pm. We enjoyed the Megalodon fish sandwich. Big enough to share. This place is a convenient stop.

Cute atmosphere and good service. Extensive tap and drink list but we didn't partake. Super reasonably priced kids menu. They have a few vegetarian options- just wish they had one or two more!

I was also a witness to Sandy B (her review below) and her Husband trying to extort a free meal from The Trailside. It the possibility the most childish behavior I've ever witnessed in a restaurant. The owner handled them more professionally than I could of. The Trailside is a great place, with a great environment for food & drinks. They have a restaurant section, bar, and ample outdoor seating in a family friendly environment.

Delicious brunch! So good! Avocado toast with a "Expresso Martini" were phenomenal! Service, food and atmosphere were wonderful!

I've been here many times through a lot of different "management" The servers have been pretty friendly but the management is terrible and I think the place is rotten from the top down. Whoever owns the place is enough of an asshole to scare the managers into being assholes themselves and I wouldn't recommend going there I've been there so many times and every single time I've been offended by the management so prove me wrong but I'm pretty sure you won't Good luck? Like that's they claim they cater to the biking crowd on the trail they are not about that they're hard Western PA rednecks and they don't like you trust me they don't.

What a great lunch spot!! The service was friendly and personal, the food was delicious! The bourbon chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries -yum! Also the Greek wrap, perfect. The place is comfortable and convenient. Met my husband here for lunch as he took a break from riding the GAP. We will be back!!
