The Presidents Pub & Grille

Stopped at the Presidents Pub on a Friday evening on the way back to Cleveland from Ohiopyle and was very happy I did. Located in the downtown area of Washington, PA there is plenty of parking, I would recommend parking in the lot next to the Pub since you have to enter through the rear entrance. Inside seemed dark and clubby, but it was a nice night and the patio seemed nice so I choose to eat outside. The patio is nicely spaced out, decorated with a large water feature and tomato plants all over; a nice casual ambience. The guests on the patio included a couple of families and some couple, both young and old. The menu is upgraded classics, nothing fancy, but very large portions for a very reasonable price. Since I was hungry after a day in the white water I ordered 2 items from the appetizer section (divided into Pub Fare and Small Plates).Service was good, but the kitchen was clearly a bit overwhelmed as my food took well over a 1/2 hour. I did notice that food was steadily coming out to the tables who had ordered before me. I will say that once the food came out it was well worth the wait.The Lobster Mac and Cheese was a heaping helping of perfectly cooked al dente corkscrew pasta in a creamy smooth cheese sauce with plenty of lobster meat throughout. The Fish and Chips had 3 generous portions of white fish fried in a crispy Panko breading sided with plenty of thin cut fries. A really well prepared example of fish and chips. I ended up taking about half of the food I ordered with me home, since the portions were much larger than I had expected. The prices were exceptional $10 for the Mac and Cheese and $12 for the Fish and Chips.I was very impressed with the Presidents Pub, great food, generous portions and a nice casual atmosphere led to a great meal to end a mini vacation. I would be at the Presidents Pub if I lived in the area. Highly recommended.

Note: enter from the back! Front is locked for some reason. At least it was tonight. Great place. Like the decor and feel. Sat in the bar area. Service was prompt and friendly. Was there during happy hour, so got to enjoy some reasonably priced drinks. Some tasty seasonal cocktails and menus offerings. The pork nachos appetizer was delicious and there was plenty for two...and easily enough for 3 or 4. Had the Ahi tuna and friend had Delmonico steak for our main entrees. Well prepared, tasty and plenty. Great place for a drink, meal and chat with friends. Definitely worth a stop.

WOW- how did I not know this was here for so long. This place is called a pub, but the food is NOT pub food. This place had HIGH END food and a great atmosphere and great service. My son had the bistecca and it cut like butter- temp on point. My daughter in law had the lobster ravioli and lovedddd it. Even though they didn't have a vegetarian meal, I had the grilled romaine and it was superb. The service was great! The atmosphere was great. The only thing I would suggest is check the number on Google. There is never an answer, so we thought it was out of business. I'd have been going there for about a year if the phone number was correct or if someone answered. Just goes to voicemail and the "mailbox" is full.

Stopped here on a Thursday night with a party of three. We were seated promptly with pleasant young man. The waitress was just as pleasant and gave great details about different food selections. I ordered the wings with a garlic parmesan sauce. They came out hot and crispy. I could have went for a bit more sauce and more of a garlic taste. Maybe they are for the non garlic loving individual. The sauce did seem to be made from scratch. Either way, I would get them again trying a different sauce. We will definitely return to try other amenities.

What a great place. I sat at the bar. The bartender was so nice and accommodating. I ordered the prime rib sandwich. Delish! A hint of horseradish in there. Soooo good. And priced very reasonable. BTW. There's lot of free parking in the back of the building. And an entrance right there.

Amazing food and drinks. Great customer service. Really like the house cocktails. Had a prohibition era feel to it.

Cute place for drinks but the food is very subpar. I got a chicken sandwich that I could have made better at home.

Great food and service. Steak was perfectly cooked. nice atmosphere and the staff was very efficient.

Visiting from out of state over July 4th left very few restaurant options. However, we didn't miss out when choosing The President's Pub. Food was good and the bartender/server was cheerful and patient. I might suggest noting on Yelp! that the back door is best way to enter so park on side street or in back parking lot.

Definitely wouldn't recommend, our appetizer never came out and the draft beer was skunked. It took almost an hour and a half for our food to get to our table and it was barely warm let alone hot. Heard good things about this place, but definitely didn't experience it. I highly doubt we will go back.
