The Olive Merchant

This week, attended a cooking demo/olive oil pairing class at The Olive Merchant. What a treat! Elaine, the gracious owner helped us to find just the right oils and vinegars to complement the delicious courses prepared by Chef Patty. Several small plates later, we were thoroughly satisfied. Who knew that ice cream would taste so good with lime vinegar and coconut balsamic? BYOB too! Great class, great time!

Every single time I've been to the store, the service is impeccable. I have tried (and subsequently purchased) oils and vinegars I never could have imagined trying thanks to the great suggestions, tastings, and recipes. The product line is unique, and the addition of the Stonewall Kitchen products is the icing on the cake. The OM is my favorite place for all gifts now (family, friends, dinner parties, teacher & instructor gifts, etc.), and there lots of nice packaging options too.

I received a gift pack from here at Christmas and I absolutely fell in love their balsamics!

High quality and delicious. The service is always spot on and helpful when needed. I love the different size and flavor options. Anything in the store is perfect for gifting.

A great store that we have passed by mistake many times. Selections of balsamic vinegar and olive oil are overwhelming. The owner provides unique insight on varied blends that accompany fruit, vegetables, dessert and bread for dipping. Really enjoyed stopping by today!!

After a busy day at the law firm where I work, I drove out of the way to The Olive Merchent to refill my balsamic vinegar bottle. I had washed it 9 hours earlier and it sat in my car on a sunny day or in a heated car for that time period. I go inside and the owner? manager? holds the bottle up to the light and proceeds to examine it for minutes, rotating it and examining it. She then tells me there is water in it and she cannot fill it. I've attached photos to show you the water in the bottle. You will not see any because there wasn't any. What a waste of my time. I will never return to this store all because of this snooty, rude ridiculous lady. I used to often buy their products for myself and as gifts but no more. This type of poor customer service is uncalled for when I present a clean bottle to be filled. Despite what she said, there was no water in the bottle. But, if there was a drop of water in it, why would that prevent her from filling it? I was not trying to save money as I think the difference in price is slight. I was trying to do right by the environment by recycling. If they are so particular perhaps they should wash the bottles themselves.
