The Mayernik Center made our wedding day fairytale come to life.... and it was all thanks to our coordinator Jennifer! We originally had another wedding venue booked, but when we visited the Mayernik we knew we had to make the switch. We chose a Friday afternoon because we able to save a little bit of money, but also book other locations on the property to make it a full day experience for our guests. The Mayernik has some suggested vendors, but the only requirement is from choosing from one of their 3 food vendors. We tried each over time and settled on Remo's...who created an amazing meal for us. It was high quality and reasonably priced. Our wedding ceremony was at 1230, followed by a brunch reception. For the ceremony we opted for the extra cost of chairs to be set out and I'm glad we did. It was a beautiful day and I would have been uncomfortable forcing everyone to stand during our ceremony. After the reception, we invited a few guests to an after party at The Cabin, one of the smaller locations on the property. Leading up to and throughout the day, Jennifer was attentive and made sure all our details came through without us worrying. She even helped organize and pack things up at the end of the night. I was never worried during the experience and knew she had it handled. If I had to do it again, I'd pick the Mayernik as our choice venue. What a great day to remember!

I recently had my wedding at The Mayernik Center at the Avonworth Community Park. The facility is beautiful. The wooden interior is very warm and welcoming. I originally worked with the event coordinator Shannon, who was wonderful: very accommodating, available and informative. She notified me that she was leaving her job as event coordinator approximately 2 weeks before my wedding! I was a panicked bride after hearing this...what a nightmare! Shannon made our transition to Suzi, another event coordinator at the Center, extremely smooth. Although Shannon was pleasant to work with, I am so happy to have had Suzi coordinate my event. She is extremely personable, accommodating and flexible. I really felt like she was there for me on my wedding day. She took care of everything, from the last minute decision to move the ceremony inside to fluffing my train before I walked down the isle. She helped us clean up at the end of the night and my family and friends all loved working with her. The Mayernik Center is difficult to reserve, so I would plan to book at least a year ahead, preferably more if you want a Saturday date. I had a Friday wedding and would recommend it if all the Saturdays are taken. We did not have a DJ, but used the Mayernik Center's sound system to play music. It worked perfectly. The only reason I am not giving the Center 5 stars is that they do not have chairs available for outside ceremony's, which makes outside ceremony's very difficult. If you are looking around for an event location in the North Hills check out the Mayernik!

I was here for a wedding this past month and it's a very nice venue. The park is very pretty and the coordinator was a great lady! I highly reccommend the space, but I wasn't the bride, just a guest!

My daughter had her wedding here and I must say it was lovely! In Fact one of you photos was of her wedding! That is rustic and charming with out having to drive so far the city this is the one for you. When we booked we use the bar area as a buffet and then had seating in the main room. The staff was easy to work with and helped us during set up.

I recently booked my wedding at the Mayernik Center for June 6, 2014. If you plan on booking your wedding here make sure its a year in advance because this place books up fast! The venue is like a wooden cabin, very warm and welcoming. It has a nice long porch in the front, as well as a fireplace inside. The best part that i loved was the the bar was in a complete other room where the food will be as well (if you do buffet style). My coordinator is Micki and she is very helpful and informative. We are also having our ceremony here outside behind the center. The only thing that was a little off putting was that they charge you $450 for chairs for the ceremony that only last for an half hour. Every thing else about this venue is great. The price is great and good space (holds up to 200 people). You do have to pick one out of the three caterers they have listed (Remo's, Monterverde's and Erin's Fine Food) which all have good prices and a lot to provide. You do have to purchase there beer through them which is whole sale price for each keg but you provide all the other Alcohol which i think is awesome because you can save a lot of money that way. All in all this venue is great for space and price. I cant wait for my wedding next year at the Mayernik Center.

I am writing this review not as a bride but a guest. Was at a wedding reception yesterday. The center is beautiful (it feels like a ski lodge). Definitely a better atmosphere than some stuffy country club, restaurant or some boring hotel. Food was very good. Menu included Chicken Romano, Prime rib, scalloped potatoes, green beans with almonds, stuffed shells along with salad and appetizers. I am guessing there were about 120 guests so the dance floor was big for dancing. Laser lighting for dancing was cool too. Very nice time. Would recommend.

Our experience at The Mayernik Center was one to remember ... but for all the wrong reasons. The staff was unprofessional, rude, and frankly, quite miserable ... unlike anything that we have ever experienced before! Although the facility itself was beautiful, it didn't compensate for the terrible staff that come along with it. I would definitely recommend NOT booking an event here!

Throughout the process of planning our reception at the Mayernik Center, we found Suzi to be unprofessional, hard to get a hold of, and she told us conflicting information on more than one occasion. She did not return any of our phone calls the weekend of our wedding. We met with her months in advance to discuss how we could use our iPod to provide the music for our reception, she told us which cables we needed to buy, and assured us that this would be no problem. When we arrived with the iPod on the day of our wedding, we discovered that the soundboard was NOT wired to play music from an iPod. Their sound system was wired so that the vocal tracks of each song were sent outside to the speakers on the porch, and the music and background singer tracks were sent to the inside speakers. Needless to say, this does not sound good. I was told by an employee of The Mayernik Center that they were aware of the settings of the sound system and we should have never been told that they were compatible with an iPod. While dealing with this extremely difficult and stressful situation (which was only remedied by family members leaving the reception to purchase portable speakers and bring back for us to use) Suzi was not even there. We ended up working with another woman in her place, who unfairly walked into this stressful situation. She was extremely helpful and wonderful and was a saving grace for me that night. The lack of honesty from the Mayernik Center and Suzi in particular is extremely upsetting, caused a major problem at our reception, and for this reason I would not recommend this facility to anyone. It would be in their best interest to come under new management.
