Been wanting to try this place for a while now (I think they used to be in another location), and we finally decided to visit on Valentines weekend. Everything was amazing. I will lead with my one negative comment which is that our server kind of stopped checking on us as frequently as we would have liked after we got our meals, but I could tell she had many tables to serve and we simply flagged her down when we needed something, so this really didn't affect us too negatively. Aside from that, she was very kind and helpful. The seafood here was so good, everything was cooked to perfection. I've been to some places where maybe the lobster was good but the shrimp or another component was overcooked, like they put all their effort into one thing and forgot about the rest. But here, even the shrimp was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The lobster tail effortlessly popped right out of the shell, and the serving of crab legs was enormous. The side salad and side baked potato were also very good. I had a bite of my husband's pasta dish and that was also extremely delicious. I have to say, this seafoods was better than I've had at some places on the coast. They really knew what they were doing on the night of our visit. It's definitely not cheap, but it is quite worth the money, knowing how expensive quality seafood is.

A slice of paradise in the heart of Jeannette! If you're looking for a beach vacation but can't afford one, head over to The Lobster Shack. Inside, the place is adorned with nautical decorations and modern reggae music is being played in the background. Although their menu is expensive, it is also extensive with salads, sandwiches, pastas, and of course lots of lobster and crab! The night my husband and I went to The Lobster Shack they were having a special: 4 pounds of Kind Crab Legs, 2 salads, 2 potatoes, and veggies for $95. The crab legs were phenomenal and tasted just like we were on a beach boardwalk on vacation! They provided lots of extra butter and the service was top notch! We will definitely be back and looking forward to trying some of their lobster meals!P.S. Make sure you bring your husband to crack the 4 pounds of crab legs you'll get! My hubby's the best!

I've been wanting to try the lobster shack for so long! I was in Latrobe & Irwin last week and figured I better make the trek over to finally try it. I got the Connecticut lobster rolls and the lb of steamed shrimp to take home. I ate the lobster rolls right away, the twin rolls was good and I thought good for the price. The lobster was warm and I loved the butter. The lobster was really small though, not many big chunks at all. I didn't know it came with hush puppies so I ordered an extra side and had a bunch that ended up going to waste. The shrimp was ok, a little overdone and tough. Would for sure come back for lobster rolls if I was in the area again!

In Westmoreland county diversity of thought and food are scarce, and often I find myself reaching at the top shelf when I seek something different to eat out here on the gateway of the Appalachias. But, this place truly attempts to bring the ocean to your doorstep, and in some ways does so successfully.Surf & Turf Fries I personally feel like this is a solid bite, but the price is $40 and too expensive to really enjoy. The steak is over cooked and the lobster meat is not feathered and distributed evenly over the fries.I think this would make more sense cooking the steak less and cutting even finer. Followed with the crab meat I would divide this entree in two, use less fries and charge $20 rather than $40. Is it bad, absolutely not--but for $40 there is much to be desired.6.4/10Buffalo SaladThis was an absolute treat, and for $15 might be the best salad you can get in Westmoreland county. What appears to be a half pound of Buffalo chicken and served with an entire egg, I would say the owner doesn't want you leaving hungry. My only critique would be the salad arrangement. Iceberg heavy I would use an assortment of romaine lettuce and iceberg to create some volume, flavor profile and color. *The balsamic is home made and absolutely perfect* 7.6/10

We go to the lobster shack. They have an entire menu of seafood items for takeout. It's a great place to go for seafood takeout they have all kinds of different kinds of things and it's always prepared very hot. Everything is prepared as you ask and they have tables outside, it's a very clean atmosphere and we really enjoyed going there. I would definitely recommend it to all my friends. Family and clients is definitely a place to go to and it's also Jeanette Pennsylvania.

This was the first visit to Lobster Shack for our 7 person group and each of us enjoyed something different. I had The Seafood Boat and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The platter had a small lobster tail, about 8 jumbo shrimp, and a LOT of crab legs plus hush puppies, salad, a baked potato and sautéed zucchini. It was delicious! The service was prompt and friendly, and no one hovered over us.I read reviews that ripped the decor and reported that the food was served in plastic baskets lined with paper. Only one person in our cohort received her lobster roll, fries, and hush puppies in a basket because it was a sandwich; the rest of us were served on white ceramic platters because we ordered entrees. The tables had fabric tablecloths and napkins; the decor is casual seaside. Yes, it's expensive; my platter was $65 but it was a lot of food and it was well prepared. This is a nice place; give it a try.

I was very disappointed had been looking forward to going there.I ordered the lobster, crab and shrimp pasta, I didn't see or taste any crab, the lobster was langostino's and hard as a rock and it was too spicy. For the price it should have been better.

They don't actually use real lobster meat in their dishes. what's worse is they don't tell you. I got the pasta with shrimp lobster and crab. I got it without shrimp. Not a fan. This was a takeout order so when I got home the meal had these langostinos all over it. Langostinos are not lobster. They are in the Hermit Crab family. This place is trying to to pass off Langostinos as baby lobster. What a scam!!!! $52 for hermit crabs . Give me a break. Not really a Lobster Shack if you don't sell lobsters. Buyer Beware!

The food was disappointing. The lobster bisque was the worst, it tasted like warm water with a few pieces of claw meat in it. The lobster role was mediocre at best.My wife and I were really looking forward to it but was turned off.
