THE LETTUCE BOWL

A hidden gem in town, we ate here twice last weekend and each time was fantastic! Its hard to find a good salad/wrap place so we were quite pleased to find this one. I had a club salad with ranch and a BLT salad with ranch, husband had a club salad and a make your own wrap. Both times we got plenty of salad and dressing, enough to be filling but not overwhelming. The wrap came with a side of fruit salad which was a nice touch. Only minor complaint is my BLT salad came with some pasta and I would've liked a bit more. Seemed like only 6 noodles or so but again, minor complaint. Didn't take away from the overall satisfaction.

It shouldn't be open as a restaurant, I don't know what to say because I never been to a restaurant like this that could be called as restaurants. The topping options are so basic that they had put a bit more effort would make a difference..The menu hang up on the wall is a complete joke, no sense of words organization. Food are not listed line by line but with commas.. I can't believe this

Salad was decent, they have a number of pre-made salads that you can choose from or you can build your own. The lady was very kind and explained the menu to us. There are also wrap options available and sandwiches that change daily. Overall nice atmosphere

I can't believe this place hasn't been reviewed yet, so let me give you the run down. The Lettuce Bowl looks simple at first, but you have what seems like an infinite number of options to choose from. Salads, sandwiches, specials of the day, all with a seemingly endless array of toppings to choose from. I ordered the Cobb salad, which started with a bed of nice, darker greens. Then they loaded up the toppings. An entire corner dedicated to bacon, one to cheese, one to eggs, and tomatoes. I'm not a fan of blue cheese, so they happily substituted shredded mozzarella for me. This salad was then piled up with fresh chicken, and given to me to enjoy with two containers of French dressing. I'm a bigger guy, and I certainly did not leave hungry. My wife ordered the Buffalo chicken salad, and thoroughly enjoyed her salad....she just couldn't finish all of the generous portion! We also ordered my daughter a salad, and the staff allowed her to pick the few toppings she would eat, customizing the salad to my daughter's tastes. As a paying customer, that was sincerely appreciated, so my daughter would eat what we paid for. This was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. My only regret is I didn't take a picture to share with you!

We were looking for something different and picked salads they were filling and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Prices weren't too bad either.

We were visiting Altoona for three days and ate at the Lettuce Bowl for lunch three days in a row. The ingredients are fresh. I had the wrap special for the day which also comes with a half salad with your choice of three ingredients plus cheese. My daughter created her own salad. They also have boba tea and lemonade. Highly recommend.

The Cobb salad we ordered tasted spoiled. Unsure what was off although the tomatoes looked beyond their expiration. I didn't even finish it. The women who worked there were lovely but I will not return.

This place is amazing! They have a very generous selection of salads, and any topping you can imagine, as well as like 15 different dressings to pick from. The balsamic vinaigrette, raspberry vinaigrette, and the house Italian were all really tasty. The sandwich of the day when we went there was 3, a candied jalapeño and ham flatbread, a chicken Parmesan like panini, and some fiesta tacos. I got the tacos and they were really good. Also the side salad you get to completely customize yourself, as well as the main course salads. Also very affordable compared to some places and what they charge for healthier menu options.
