The Gyro Shop

Who doesn't love this place? Anytime you're in the area and if you like Gyros and some other delicious Greek treats this is a must stop. The crew are always welcoming and friendly and friendly make you feel at home. Easy to get along with and a decent size dining area. They have bottled drinks and self serve fountain pop. The gyros are always delicious and fresh and one of the best in all of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. The desserts are to die for as well. This place is a hard keep it on the map for regular return trips for delicious meals.

Delicious gyros. The service is always consistent and the owner usually waits on you. The dining room is open and plenty of tables are available. It's not fancy but it's nice enough for gyros. Enter the gigantic gyro eating challenge only if you dare!

I am not usually a huge fan of this type of cuisine...or maybe I should say, it is not a cuisine I crave very often. I usually enjoy it when I eat it, but it is never my top pick. My husband wanted to try it out and it was good place to take our toddlers to, though the restaurant wasn't particularly clean. I got the traditional gyro pita and my husband got the crispy chicken. Mine was great. Nice flavors, with a pita full of toppings and sauce. My husbands was nothing special...while it still had a nice amount of toppings and sauce, the chicken was a frozen chicken patty (though they did fry it right then so it was hot and "fresh") but I wouldn't necessarily suggest getting that one. The service was quick and we had a nice meal.

Stopped in with the family for an early dinner after running errands in Wexford. When we showed up we were the only in/restaurant patrons, but they took several calls for orders too so it seems like they must stay pretty busy. The two boys working looked to be about high school age and were friendly enough. We ordered a traditional gyro, crispy chicken gyro, chicken tenders and fries for the 4 of us. Total tab came out to about $30 bucks which isn't too bad when feeding 4. The fries were a generous portion and the gyros were a good size too so definitely come with an appetite! Only complaints were just the mess around every table, in the bathroom, sticky floors and soda pop fountain. It just feels like this place could use a little TLC and elbow grease to make it more pleasant for eating in.

I had the chance to stop in today for a quick lunch and am so glad I did. It started with a warm welcome from behind the counter and followed with fast service. The gyro was really fresh with plenty of meat and a soft pita. The grape leaves were large and I even saved two to take home. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Easily THE BEST gyro in Pittsburgh. That's all I gotta say. 10/10. Delicious.Workers are super friendly as well.Give this place a try.

I got a grilled chicken salad and fried cheese to go and I love this salad! The portions are plenty big and the chicken was tasty. Staff was friendly .

Very good Gyro's. I have been there twice so far and the food is great. Also they are super nice. I highly recommend The Gyro Shop.

Casual atmosphere. Limited dine in space. Huge portions. Friendly, prompt, service. Reasonably priced.

Delicious food! Best gyros that's we've found in the area. Would definitely recommend The Gyro Shop if you are looking for some great Greek options.
