The Fools

We live right up the street from this place and watched it's transition from old dive bar to its current Foolish incarnation. It took them over a year to renovate it and they still aren't done in the back and the parking lot is a little rutted but the inside is very nicely done. There is a huge bar and some high and low tables scattered throughout. The clientele is mostly locals and lot of laborers grabbing a drink and a bite to eat after working hard all day which was great to see. It's super casual and very open inside.We had a few beers and the bartender was good. She was attentive and was waiting on 20 folks at the bar as well as table drinks. The manager was able to help serve some food to help her out but never once asked us how everything was. That was a little bit of a missed opportunity in my opinion for a new business.We ordered a breakfast burger that came with some hashbrowns on the side. I assumed, which is my fault totally, that the burger would come with lettuce, tomato, etc. but it truly was JUST a burger, egg, and cheese and absolutely no other toppings. That was disappointing and I really wish the bartender would have asked if I wanted anything on it. I ended up using ketchup for moisture since she was so busy and I was hungry. :) The hashbrowns were frozen and fried so they were nothing special. I think this place has tremendous potential. We'll be back to try something else. It seems busy so that's a good sign.

What a really good surprise! A little neighborhood bar that was recently given a totally new facelift and looks super inside. Great sports watching venue, with wall to wall TV screens all over. Clean, shiny, and with some fun sports games too (i. e. golf video, darts, etc). The menu offers lots of ol local favorites and some with a nice twist (i. e. pulled pork sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, salads, Chipped ham Sammy, etc). Had the Isleys chipped ham sandwich which they serve warm with melted cheddar, grilled onions on a bun. However, they were gracious enough to make it for me cold, with Mayonnaise and a slice of cheese. This is unlike another place down the road (RI) from them that wouldn't adjust items on a sandwich for me last week. The waiter/bartender was super chill too, easy to talk to and basically good at his job. Our refills came quickly and without asking. He followed up to see what we wanted a couple times and the food arrived in a reasonable time (not much waiting at all). This was so very different from that same day where at our usually spot (another old bar/restaurant further down the road, "SJ") we had to walk out just after ordering lunch due to getting attitude from a mouthy waitress. Glad we decided to try this new spot! Great job! I think we found our new local "go to" bar/restaurant. Looking forward to it and to soon trying breakfast there on weekends too. A must try f you haven't been there yet.

My wife and I have wanted to try breakfast here as we are always on the hunt for a good breakfast. My wife had an omelet and I had traditional eggs and sausage. Both orders were done perfectly. The bill including coffee and juice was 23 and change not including tip. Service and food were very good and we definitely will go back. The server said their lunches are pretty good. I'm looking forward to trying them.

New Owner sucks I live in the neighborhood near by as in behind them across the wood from them. They are fucking loud as all hell. Wish I could give zero stars. moral of the story lousy ass neighbors to have.

Nice bar nice atmosphere but good lord the service sucks. Watching the football game on Sunday. I waited 35 minutes and decided I would go to the bar and get a drink. We've been here since noon waiting to order food. It's 3:17 and we still haven't ordered anything yet! They have one bartender working the bar and waiting tables and there's 28 people here. This is my 1st and last time here. Hire a waitress! You're losing money! This place sucks!

I'm gonna say just 4 stars because of only tiny issues, so keep that in mind as you read. I was in the area of this place about a month ago, and I decided to stop in as a friend of mine said she really liked it there. It's a VERY nice place, welcoming and comfortable-looking right off the bat. There weren't many people there when I went in, or, in fact, the entire time I was there. Several people were enjoying breakfast, and while I wasn't hungry, it looked and smelled terrific. The bartender was pleasant, the only issue being that she kept vanishing, and with no other employees apparent, I had to wait for...a while...several times for her to reappear. I stayed maybe an hour or so, played the state-sanctioned slot machines, had 2 beers, and I was out. I did take a look at the menu, and was what one can expect to see on a bar menu--which to me is just fine! I'll probably stop in again next time I'm in the vicinity, maybe give those breakfasts a try. By the way, there are both in upper and lower parking lots. The upper lot has quite a number of outdoor stairs going down to the bar, and the lower lot has both handicapped parking and a few other spaces as well for those not feeling adventurous enough to handle the stairs when imbibing!

Nice atmosphere with dive bar prices. Had the French dip and it was very good. Parking lot is pretty annoying.

New place, decided to pop in for a drink one night after work. It's now my go-to local hang. Drink prices are low, food is great, clientele is chill. Highly recommend 10/10.
