This review is specifically for the fish fry. It was so tasty! With options to order online or over the phone super easy to order and pay before arriving. And the fish was very crispy, love it.

We just became members of the Edgewood Club for their family-friendly pool. Their facilities are very well kept, and our kids love it! They have two pools, one that is large for bigger kids and adults, and another good-sized wading pool for the young ones. They also have beautifully groomed tennis courts, food concessions (decent selection of food cooked on-site) and banquet facilities. One of the best quirky features of this place is that it also contains a public library! The membership fee is well worth the price for this excellent local resource.

A couple times a month there is a swing dance at Edgewood on Sundays. Frequently featuring a live band, there is a small cover charge (cash only) and a friendly atmosphere. The level of the dancers attending can be hit or miss but its a relaxing sunday evening. There is an area with tables, chairs and a snack table with beverages for an additional donation fee. The parking can be difficult (it is a residential area), so it would be smart to try to get there early. I believe they also have a dance lesson for beginners before the dance starts run by a group called Coal Country Traditions which is a Pittsburgh based group of older dancers that do swing dancing as well as folk dancing of different sorts, there always have pamphlets at the dance in regards to other dances and events going on within the city at a table in the back of the dance.

We have been members for 4 years and are very pleased with the experience the Edgewood Club provides. The location, people, and atmosphere provide a convenient, safe and neighborhood environment that cannot be had elsewhere! Because it is so close, an after work jaunt yields a quality visit; and we have had weekend days where the kids made two trips. Socially, kids see their classmates/teammates and adults are able to catch up with neighbors, along with making new friends. We all live in old neighborhoods and city parking comes with that. Parking at the Edgewood Club isn't a big deal...it encourages lighter packing and stretches the legs out for a potential one block walk! There may be less expensive pool options elsewhere, however you will drive much further, thus dealing with traffic, and will not have the same social and recreational experience. Our time is precious and you can easily be in The Edgewood Club pool in minutes!Fridays evenings are a great way to end the work week, as there is usually a cook out with various food themes. Activities range from tennis for all ages to a swim team for children, with a current renovation that will add bocce, basketball, pickelball, and volleyball.Everyone has a good time at The Edgewood Club!!

We just joined today and were completely stoked by the experience. This place is more of a "community neighborhood club" than a country club and the staff is super friendly and chill. Yes, I tend to avoid places chock full of sugar induced children and I was happy to hear that there is an "adult swim" every 15 mins. Yeah it a tad pricey, but we just couldn't beat having a very large, clean pool within walking distance from our house. AND there is a library attached so you can easily choose a book to read in the sun. I hear there is a byob BBQ on some Fridays and you can bring your dog once month. And they have a Slush Puppy machine in the snack bar! We are fans.

Specific to the fish fry - Save your $$. The fish was dry and way over fried. The bun was cold. No tomatoes or lettuce. The picture looks great but the food a waste of $$ Go to a church and support them. Not First Class. No Class. Sorry but true.

This is the perfect venue for a wedding!! It is beautiful and Ron is the best to work with!! From the first stages of planning to the actual wedding day it was so easy because Ron knows what he is doing!! All of our guests just raved about the place as well!! I would definitely use the Edgewood Club over and over if I needed to. Thanks Ron!!

I can't comment on the other amenities and service that the Club has to offer but this is really neat wedding venue. The only negative if you can call that was the parking - I'm not sure if they have a parking garage/area but we ended up parking on the street.Another thing that bothered me was the condition of the bathroom, at least the one that I was aware of which was on the main floor. The bathroom didn't seem clean or well kept. Other than that, everything else was next to perfection. The beautiful hardwood floors, the dark beams with vaulted ceilings added a historic charm to the already beautiful and elegant ballroom. The size it self is not too small but just big enough to host a small intimate wedding.

We have been members for six years now. we love the pool for ourselves and our kids ages 13 and 9. The snack bar is great for those evenings that we just don't want to make dinner.By far our favorite part of the Edgewood Club is Friday Nights. BYOB (Only time alcohol is allowed), Kids bring floats, the pool stays open later, and the snack bar offers different foods from gourmet barbecue to tuna steaks. They also do theme nights. Friday nights at the Edgewood Club are always a blast.Let us not forget the end of year doggie swim. The very last swim of the entire year is taken by man's best friend. That's always fun. We've been to many functions and have held our own in the clubs banquet facilities and it's a lovely place for large events. We highly recommend it for pool, tennis, swimming and loads of fun.

We joined The Edgewod Club 5 years ago when we moved into Edgewood. A huge plus is that it is within walking distance of the entire Edgewood community/neighbohood. Interestingly, a number of families from nearby neighborhoods are also members (Point Breeze, Sq. Hill, etc) since there are few options similar to the Edgewood Club left in Pittsburgh. Our three children love the poll and call it home in the summer. We have not yet played tennis since our kids are young, but I hear they are installing a "sports court" this year for different activites that may be more kid friendly. My favorite part is the Friday night BBQ when they allow BYOB...as some people say, the Edgewood Club is the place that time forgot!
