The Dream Restaurant is a cozy restaurant. The menu is also what I would describe as cozy with selections such as the turkey dinner and the meatloaf dinner. Warm bread was served prior to our meal. I had the patty melt which was very good. The fries were excellent and appeared to have been toasted. We were a party of five and the server was genial and attentive. If I lived closer, I would frequent this establishment more often.

Food ordered using the online app. It never printed in kitchen. Order wasn't ready when arrived. 4 meals ordered and paid for. 3 meals were in the bag. Had to return to restaurant with receipt and pictures to show missing meal. Receptionist was not apologetic and didn't want to believe me without the pics. Very curt. Last time our office orders lunch from this place.

Update: Since my review a couple of months ago, I've been back to "The Dream" several more times. Each time it seems to get better. Every thing I've tried here is outstanding, and those with me similarly enjoyed their meals. The real standout however was the service. They were attentive, and made you feel like you have been there 1000 times before. This has become one of my favorite restaurants in town.

This is a nice little restaurant in the middle of Hollidaysburg, PA. A clean restaurant with a great ambiance. Service is incredible during a time where most places can't find people to work. Food is good old fashion cooking. Generous portions at an expected price. Oh, and the bakery!!! We will be back!!!

Traditional American food served in hearty portions at reasonable prices. Large dining areas with a display case of pastries and pies that are available for purchase. Bakery purchases can either be taken away or ordered for consumption on site. Baked goods are quite good as they are baked daily and on-site. It's definitely a step above diner food, and the service is good. The entire ambiance heartens back to a time when life in America moved at a slower pace, and I find this aspect of nostalgia rather appealing.

We always go for breakfast. We walk, love having places in the borough to walk to (lots of restaurants, but they all have select, slim hours). The food is very good. We always get omelets and toast. Bread seems homemade. Service is always good. Waitresses are pleasant and attentive. Coffee is hot and strong. The restaurant is very clean and the building is well maintained and you always sit in a new section it seems like you're eating somewhere new each time.

Stopped at the The Dream Restaurant for lunch, this is an update form the last time that I have been at the restaurant. Visiting for the second time, the restaurant has defiantly redeemed itself. This time I had the Ruben that was on the menu. This was a great sandwich. With this I promised that I would update my previous review when I was returning to the restaurant. I am going to include the picture for the previous visit to the restaurant. Because so far my favorites from the restaurant have been the Ruben and The House Cesar Salad. Great job. There was quick service and a very delightful atmosphere when I was there.

I really wanted to like this place. So let's start from the beginning. We were running to the store in holidaysburg so we did a quick check for restaurants. The name is cute and the pics looked cute so off we went. First off, the place is very clean. Sometimes booths are gross with dust around the trim. I was impressed. None of that here. It's very large and had a good number of people. We started with zucchini and cauli apps. The zucchini was great as was the cauli. But the cauli had cheese that came with it which wasn't edible. It had a big gross layer of dry cheese over the top. I ordered the grilled cheese with a slice of Tomato and fries. The bread tasted a bit off and something about the tomato wasn't quite right. The fries were ok. My mom and sister had liver and it was good. But my aunt had the Chesapeake chicken which ended up not being edible. She actually said it was the worst meal she had in her life. It was drowned in Alfredo. And didn't look appetizing at all. The peas and onions which she and my mom got were both cold. The server was adequate. Not the best, not the worst. But also not friendly at all. Something smelled really good when walking through. Maybe hot turkey and gravy sandwich? The bakery looked amazing. I didn't try anything there, but if the baked items were anywhere near as good as they looked, they would be fantastic! I forgot to take pictures. I normally Do. I'd say try this place, but ask maybe what your server likes there and stick with a favorite. Or check other reviews for things that tasted good.

The only negative thing I can say about this place is that I regret that I haven't visited sooner, and more often. This restaurant is phenomenal. Best turkey dinner I've ever eaten in my life. The stuffing was amazing, the turkey tasted delicious, the gravy, the mashed potatoes, everything. Delicious. Very very friendly staff. Prices are great. I would highly recommend it.

The service was great staff were very friendly food was good we had mushroom Swiss burgers 1 sweet potato fries 1 fries. The sweet potato fries were homemade! We both got the strawberry cream puff shortcake . It was delicious! I will definitely get it again! I'm not a dessert person but it was sooooo good.
