The Dor-Stop as seen on diners drive INS and dives... pretty hard to miss that. Dor stop dor stop dor stop ugh I want to give you a higher review, think of this as a high end 3 star almost 4. you just don't do enough at the price point to teeter you over. This fits the classification of the new wave of diners, aka overpriced, the beauty of a diner is middle range food at a dirt cheap price. this is middle range food at a high price per quality. But to that point stick to the basics, get a pancake it will not go wrong it hits the spot it does what it needs to do, keep it simple. I think I got that my first trip the second trip I got a breakfast sandwich which honestly I could have made in my kitchen and it would have been close to the same ability. or one up if me lady made it in our kitchen it would be gourmet in comparison. So the lesson learned from dor stop is order pancakes, or eggs, or basic breakfast but if you explore on their menu you may be disappointed. Me lady's eggs Benedict was just kinda like meh everything got real soggy idk stick to what they do best and away from the creativity. we will definitely return for pancakes

This is such a high-quality breakfast and lunch spot, on Potomac Ave. across from Moonlit Burgers. I'd say it's under the radar because it feels a bit tucked away here in Dormont and doesn't get the social media love of some other places, but there is also the fact that Guy Fieri put this place on the map years back with his visit for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The restaurant leans into that with Guy's picture in spots on the menu and a big mural of him on the wall. But what you really want to know is, how is the food? It's very solid diner food with some indulgent touches like specialty hot cakes and French toast that will make you feel like you're having something extra special. Service is efficient, friendly and fast. The inside is smallish and there are a few outdoor tables, but this is a very no-frills kind of place and it is fairly priced. I would recommend going for something they have marked as a Dor-Stop favorite as you just can't go wrong -- think the decadent raspberry French toast or one of their many varieties of Eggs Benedict. You can add some of the specialty hotcakes on to another breakfast like the egg combo if you just can't choose, and I appreciate that they offer a protein option like veggie chorizo!

The pancake is a must!!! I got the breakfast burrito it was good. I wanted something savory. But I wish I got a side of potatoes instead of the salad. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it.

Popped in here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The place was pretty busy but fortunately we were seated right away. It seemed like there were quite a few regulars in here based on the way the various servers were interacting with some customers. This looks like a typical diner, so don't expect anything fancy inside and tables that are fairly close to one another. I had the BS French toast, which comes with bananas and strawberries (hence the 'BS' in the name) and crispy bacon on the side. Food was good along with service throughout our meal. About the only complaint I had was that the coffee seemed a bit weak. No private parking lot so plan on searching for street parking.

Such a cute place and good music and service If you're on the hunt for a breakfast spot with heaps of charm, look no further than this gem on the corner! Inside, you're greeted by a trendy vibe with a cool grass wall, vibrant graffiti art, and neon lights that set the perfect mood. The spicy chicken omelette didn't quite deliver the heat I expected, but a dash of hot sauce did the trick! The blueberry pancakes were delightfully fluffy and packed with just the right amount of berries. And let me tell you, the potato pancakes were a revelation--sweet and savory in perfect harmony. While the coffee was pretty standard, it didn't dampen my enthusiasm for this place. It feels like a beloved local haunt where you could easily imagine rolling out of bed on a weekend morning for a delicious breakfast. Just a heads up: they don't serve lunch on weekends, so plan your visit accordingly!

The food certainly lives up to the hype. It's pretty busy on weekends, but our wait was only 20 minutes. The potato pancakes we so flavorful and not greasy at all! The only downside is the size of the place. There are so many tables crammed in such a small place that we were getting bumped into constantly while eating.

Final visit to the popular breakfast restaurant before leaving Pittsburgh with my friend. I love their creative Irish benedict as a beef person, and their home fries are the best I have ever had, which are crunchy outside and soft inside. I also ordered my favorite chocolate banana pancakes and tried their apple Walnut pancake, to which I will definitely miss a lot after leaving here.

Had some friends in town for the weekend and decided we needed a big ole breakfast to get us through our weekend of debauchery -- and boy did Dor-Stop deliver! The casual, funky, diner-y vibe was perfect for a Saturday morning. We checked in advance online -- where you can join the waitlist (brilliant), but it said there was no wait! We did, however, grab one of the last tables. This place is popular. Our server was adorable - so helpful and fun. I got the Southwest Sunrise omelet - and loved the ham (not too much), cooked peppers, gooey Monterey Jack cheese, spinach, all topped with sliced avocado. It was a WAY lotta food - and so good. We puzzled over - Lyonnaise vs O'Brien vs home fries. Bottom line - O'Brien was squared potatoes w/ sautéed onions & green peppers; lyonnaise were o'briens w/o peppers; and home fries were sautéed potatoes. Live and learn. Hubs had the egg combo - cuz he looooves him some pancakes. He got the "premium" option which basically meant adding fruit - he got blueberries --- but he wasn't really a fan of the pancakes, saying they were just too heavy. The eggs & bacon were yums. Friend absolutely housed his "ham from the bone Benedict" and a side of rope sausage, which was super flavorful Italian link sausage. Yum! We loved it (pancakes aside) and can't wait to return.

Great stop for breakfast if you're in the area! Quick service in the small packed dining area. Food was great, everything was hot and tasty. Only downside was the iced coffee was in a bottle and not fresh brewed.

Stopped in for a quick bite on a Tuesday. Sat at the counter with my back to the drafty door opening and closing.Service was prompt, waitress good but food was less than good. Eggs were watery, potatoes hard and cold, toast cold, and the price was normal. From what I gather someone recently bought this business from the original owner. only problem is they need someone who can cook. would not go back.
