The Crystal Room

We ate here several times during our stay at the resort - all meals were good including 2 brunch visits. Service was good during our visits - great flavors & plating. We tried various entrees & desserts - not a bad choice among them. Restaurant has typical upscale vibe as one would expect in a fancier hotel/convention center with a ballroom vibe. Prices are on the high side ..which of course matches the resort culture - but dinner here is more of an 'experience' (note photos of the dishes/plating). All-in-all we had good experiences at the Crystal Room - recommended!

Stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night after never having heard of this restaurant despite staying in the hotel and coming here several times over time. Made reservations for a Saturday night and pulled up nearly on the dot of our time. We were sat immediately and were told our waitress would be over. 10minutes went by and then were handled. We put in a drink order - the wine came out after 10minutes, and my mixed drink coming another 10minutes. The Manhattan had ice in it - which is wrong bc it wasn't ordered that way and that altered the drink's taste. Was a rough start if everyone is honest. We ordered Caprese for which they split for us. It was very good - just solid execution and fresh. For the entree I went with the steak au poivre which came with asparagus and potato sticks - which was odd to me. I mean legitimate potato sticks out of a can. Anyway - the steak, which I ordered medium came out medium rare, leaning more to the rare side. When asked I sent the steak back - mainly bc it has an open kitchen and I could watch the reaction. The threw the steak back on the grille and when it came back out it was done properly. Tasted good, but again the potato sticks were hard to understand. For dessert - I ordered the raspberry torte which was okay. Nothing too high or low. The waiting and the lack of execution on the drink, the steak, and the sides just made this a lukewarm experience.

1. A Rocky Start, but Smooth Sailing LaterOur experience at the Crystal Room began with a rocky start--the reservation was made on the same day, and the initial service felt bottlenecked. It took a whopping 35 minutes to order drinks and even get bread on the table. However, like a magician's trick, everything turned around. The subsequent service flowed smoothly, and we were finally able to focus on the menu.2. Sophisticated Menu, Medallions, and CocktailsThe menu exudes sophistication, albeit with limited options. As someone who dislikes mushrooms and isn't keen on duck or liver, I opted for the medallions without the duck fat. They were fantastic, although I'd suggest pairing them with a veggie other than spinach. The specialty cocktails, unfortunately, didn't impress--they felt heavy and overly complex. Instead, I settled for wine, which complemented my meal beautifully.3. Stellar Service, Tasty Compliments, and Dessert DelightsOur server, Amber, went above and beyond. She sensed something wasn't right and compensated for the service lapse by adjusting our bill and offering dessert. The caprese starter was fresh and delightful, while the chocolate torte was an absolute winner. Surprisingly, the coffee flavoring in the torte was subtle, making it a pleasant surprise. Overall, the Crystal Room was clean, classy, and enjoyable, though an additional dessert option and perhaps an Italian entrée would be a welcome addition. And hey, maybe a fruity drink for those seeking something "girly"! The Crystal Room at Bedford Springs seems to have its ups and downs, but the culinary experience and attentive service make it a memorable dining spot. The new chef at The Crystal Room at Omni Bedford Springs has breathed new life into this place. Our dinner tonight was the best meal I've had all year, and one of the best meals I've ever had. The Vegetable Pate was light and flavorful, my steak au poivre cooked a perfect medium rare with just enough sauce. The asparagus still had a good bite to them. The coquille St. Jacques is definitely the best I've ever tasted, with iron skillet-hot mashed potatoes, and fresh spinach. Escargot in a light pastry--rich and filling. Finally, the Financier cake--the perfect dessert for two. Our waitress was quick, friendly, and enthusiastic about sharing her favorites on the menu. She made our night. The open kitchen and walls full of vintage photos made for great conversation and an engaging show. Oh, and thanks to the chef for the crab cake amuse bouche. Thank you Bedford Springs!

My sweet bride and I ate here for our first wedded meal and it was amazing. Our server Steve was great, very friendly and helpful. The pictures on the walls were a very nice touch, showing visitors to the springs in the past. The little side dining rooms looked very cozy!

Anna gets 6 stars! Friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, she made the meal fun! We ate dinner here when we stayed at the Resort. Hot bread to start, decent pour on his neat bourbon and a good meal. The room is very pretty and the Crystal chandeliers make it seem more formal. But there are families in shorts, straight out of the pool in addition to people dressed for dinner so don't let the photos fool you. You can get a good casual meal here.Highlight was the tiger prawn remoulade appetizer which was very good. My Caesar salad was good and the right light meal, had a little extra bread with my salad! Yummy!

Probably the nicest place to stay and dine in Bedford. Beautiful decor. Very classy atmosphere. Great wine and cocktail selections. The food menu has a nice selection of appetisers, and main items that includes really nice cuts of steaks and fish. This restaurant is known for their steaks. Feel free to give it a try. I was hungry enough for anything heavy tonight. I selected the Caesar salad. It's was a very small serving, but was nicely presented. The French onion soup was very good. I recommend it! Lastly, I ordered the crab cake. It was a generous portion, topped with sliced avocado. I wasn't all that impressed with it. Lacked flavour, in my opinion. Service was very good. Stephen was our server. He understood the menu very well and was very good at explaining the preparation of each item I asked him about. Pricing. The restaurant is beautiful inside. The items are very gourmet in size. Great quality. I felt the pricing was a little too high for the area. I guess they're able to charge whatever they like since there's nothing else around here. Overall, this was a nice place to dine. I would recommend it for a special occasion with an overnight stay (the hotel is beautiful). Be prepared to spend some money. Totally worthwhile, since there's nothing else close to this type of restaurant in Bedford. I would visit again to try one of the steaks, since the restaurant is known for their steaks. Otherwise, not all that impressive, but willing to give it another try.

Just as elegant, historical steeped in American Colonial settings, with elegant crystal chandeliers and three (3) separate dining areas from which to choose.

Christmas Eve dinner at the Omni Resort, Bedford Springs, PA, Crystal Room was lovely in every way. Service was professional without being intrusive. The quality, quantity, and creativity of the food was excellent. The huge polar bear cake was impressive in looks and taste. The friendly guests and darling doggies added to the spirit of the holiday. The other restaurants at the resort were very good. Also, my room with porch was charming. Yes, I will return to the Omni.Blessings

The food was great . presentation perfect looked as good as it tasted , Service was excellent , timely and courteous . the Chef came by to make sure as everything was prepared as it should be .
