Nice bar inside. A littlePricey compared to other bars, a bit of variety in their menu and daily specials. Service was excellent. I enjoyed my swashbuckler burger, however the wings to me were just okay and did not care for their version of French fries. Brisket meal was okay, thought it was a littlePricey for the size. The Italian Perogie special came with a bread stick and salad for $12 so I thought that was a good deal. I did notice for a half lb of shrimp was $10 on Friday which is more expensive Than a lot of the local bars.

Great food. Even better service. Exceptional bartender and staff. Coldest beer I've had in a long time. Great overall experience. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

This place is such a hidden gem and a local favorite spot! They have probably the best craft beer selection around! There's always a new beer to try! The food is pretty decent. I can't say I've ever been blown away by the food, but all around it's pretty good and they certainly have many menu options to choose from! Whether your an out-of-towner or local, this place is a great place to stop for a meal and drinks!

3.5 but I'm bumping up to 4. I'll break down my experience into categories:*Food:- Jalapeno Cheddar Pretzel. I ordered this bc a) i love cheesy pretzels and b) my server recommended it. It delivered. A soft pretzel filled with gooey cheese. -Flag ship Black Jack burger with house chips. The flagship with the cajun rub was *excellent*. I actually think the sauce took something away from the burger and I started figuring out ways to just eat the meat.- Disclaimer: my mom HATED her chicken salad, she said the chicken tasted just boiled. My aunt wasn't crazy about her fried haddock. My husband thought his ribs were expertly cooked but could have used a sauce or a rub. So I think your food experience may depend on what you order*Drinks:A surprisingly good beer selection! Both on tap and in bottle. I flipped to wine, which was a black box, which I'm not super mad about, I drink that at home, but they oddly served the wine in a tiny 5oz glass, I guess so they could fill it to the brim so it looks like you are getting hooked up?*Ambiance:We were in the back room because we had a huge (15ish) group, and the ambiance back there blows. There aren't enough lights and the lights that are there are glaringly bright so you feel like you are in a warehouse. The main dining area looked like a better vibe*Service:Pretty good. We had a huge group so I want to give our server a break - but my dad was pretty peeved about specifically requesting wings as an app and getting them with dinner. And while our food came out quicker than we expected (which is great!) it was hard to track down our server afterwards to either get more drinks or the checkAs an out-of-towner, I don't expect much from Jtown from a 'foodie' perspective, but I was genuinely pleased with my meal here.

I'm not quite sure why the people of Johnstown are always complaining, but they need to stop. They also need to break free from their chain restaurant lifestyle and discover what local places have to offer, especially hidden places like this. The things that are focused on in some of the other reviews here don't really give you the whole feel for the place. One incident does not make for great review, you need to put some meat into that review to make it stand out. With that pun, let's get into this review.I have driven past this place on many occasions as it is on the way to my family's home. Never would have given it a second thought. That might have been because I had thought this place was only a bar for the longest time. After a tip from my sister's coworker that the food was decent, we decided to give it a try.Upon entering you have to wait a bit to find a decent enough table, this combined with how hectic it is perceived as to service is why I docked it a star. Seating is tricky, when you enter they want you to sit at the tables located at the front of the house. This can cause chaos because of how they are set up, they don't like for a group of four to sit at a table for six, but when you have a slight rush of customers that can't be helped. There is a VIP seating area, but they prefer not to use it immediately, actually I have no idea why it is a VIP seating area as it is just another area in the restaurant (unless they use it for bigger parties or reservations). As far as the service, it can be spotty when busy. The servers may forget they had you as a table, and you may wait a bit.As for the food, I thought it was amazing. The menu is big on bar food, it is great, it is filling, and you will be wanting to come back for more. Throughout the menu there are items that are Crow's Nest signature items; try them. That's all I can say about them. I tried the Asiago and artichoke dip, it is by far the best use of artichokes I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Perfect blend of seasoning in this small appetizer dish. It is served with toasted ciabatta bread slices, they are thin and can break, but that's ok, just means more dip for you. You also may run out of them while eating this, don't worry, save the dip and possibly use it for your fries later on. For my main course I chose the Babushka Burger. Anytime you put a pierogie on a burger you got me. Now for burgers here you get to choose mostly everything that goes into it, including the patty. They have a flagship patty and an angus patty. The flagship patty consists of angus brisket, sirloin, short rib and chuck all blended together. It is amazing. Asides from the pierogie it is also topped with cheddar cheese, sautéed onions and a dollop of sour cream. You need nothing else on this burger. NOTHING. My mouth is watering right now because of it. The fries that you can upgrade to appear to be fries that are twice fried. Nice little touch. I also decided to imbibe while I was here and am delighted that they have several different IPAs on tap, and it appears that they change frequently.**Things to note here. Most nights have a special, if you want to enjoy the burgers at a discount, show up on a Wednesday. They have a build your own burger and build your own pizza section on the menu. Credit accepted. Special events such as comedy shows and small concerts are held within. Free wifi. Kids menu.

Place is dirty and gross. Foods eh. I mean. Bar food is bar food but this isn't even great bar food. The owner is rude and quite frankly...unprofessional. When I visited family I would go there occasionally simply due to location but after realizing the ownership...I'll go to McDonald's instead. Same quality of food.

Took 12 family members out to eat and was disappointed. The food was not that good. The pulled pork was dry had no sauce. The pierogies tasted like mrs t's. My drinks were pretty light alcohol. They didnt even have wine except for white zin! Guess this place for beer lovers only. I could live with blah food if we could get waitresses attention. I asked for water 3 times and literally she ignored me. I finally had to chase her down to get the water. She just seemed annoyed to have to wait on us. I wanted to pay bill had to chase her down at bar. After leaving 35 buck tip not even a thank you for coming. Having waited tables while in school I still tipped 20 percent but hope if I came back to get better service.

Good food. Three couples All had something different and Compliments about all we ordered. Non-related to food. Need to create a partition outside the Men's restroom because we can see men standing at the urinal as the door opens.

Decent food for a bar in this location. I'd recommend to anyone who just wants a bite to eat and a beer. Meet with friends here or watch the game. Very relaxed atmosphere. Not the best food in town, but you pay for what you get and I rate it high because I've never had a bad experience at this establishment.

Have enjoyed this restaurant and it's bar for years. When I visit Johnstown, my former hometown, I try to make it to the Crow's Nest. There are some well prepared dishes available at this kitchen. Their smoked brisket has a great smoke flavor. Great beer selection for all types. Wings are very nice with several flavors available. One suggestion, when they offer clams they should try to offer larger ones. A good hometown bar and restaurant with lots to offer.
