The Crooked Dock

Could be a really cool spot right on the Ohio river. This is a fun bar in the summer (I celebrated my 21st birthday here actually!). Drinks and food used to be really reasonably priced, but have definitely skyrocketed since covid. They used to have dinner but it looks like it has been taken off the menu, probably due to food and staff shortages. The other food used to be pretty good, but I've heard bad things recently. I would come here and hang out for a drink but maybe skip the food. Service has always been slow here, even long before the pandemic, and the two times I have been here since covid it has definitely been even slower paced.

Tons of food for the price so don't let the prices scare you. I always have left overs!

We sat on the outside patio on a Sunday afternoon, it was warm, but the sun was beautiful and bright. We had a party of five and we all ordered and we received our food in a timely fashion. Georgie was our amazing waitress and brought our food. I questioned visiting here and ordering off the menu after reading some of the other reviews however I can tell you that I got the steak hoagie the full size and I've never had a hoagie so big. The beer was cold the food was hot the service was great. Two thumbs up I highly recommend. I would definitely visit again and also recommend.

Do not recommend this restaurant. Ordered a salad and hoagie. Waited an hour and food never came out. Other groups served, finished and left.

Really good bar foods, fresh and fried. The patio area is really nice and I'm glad to see how clean the area is. Price is a little steep but it's worth it

I have been coming to crocked dock for years and I am disappointed my last two adventures there. The food used to be so huge, and prices were pretty good, however recently they raised their prices on most items by 3-4 dollars each. Which isn't too bad in the grand scheme, but to pay 17$ for a hoagie is a little crazy (and they don't give you fries on the side). A huge word of caution is the water/tea basically anything made with tap water is undrinkable. It tastes like chew spit. So definitely order a bottled beverage. Another issue we had was the food took about 1.5hrs, normally this wouldn't be a super issue we were with 4 other people and it was a little busy, but others got their food prior to us even if they sat down after us, which was a huge disappointment to see. I really wish they would turn this place around because I want to love it, and I did previously. The owner needs to step in and actually manage the place better, and please filter the water

I've been here twice now while on vacation since I have family near by. The first time we ordered steaks since they were on special, 3 of us had to send ours back as they were severely well done when we all ordered medium. Not only that, the wait for food was sooooo long. The second time again the wait for our food was so long, customer service was really lacking. We went for lunch, I ordered the fish and chips special, my boyfriend ordered the Italian hoagie, kids ordered hot dog, grilled cheese, hoagie, and wings. We were there for 1 hour and 45 minutes. This is too long for a lunch. The ONLY reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because of their epic proportions. They're so large. Order food and split it. If you order salad you can split with 4 people. It's ridiculously large.

This place is awesome....too bad the owner has decided to change it into an event venue!! Amber is great....friendly and great bartender. Food is great!This is a gem in Wellsburg.... please open it up to a full service restaurant on the water again!

The food was really good but this one place was very understaffed with the waitresses and the service is bad and really slow. Good food but I don't recommend it.

Beer is always expired and when you say something about they give you an attitude, food is cold and terrible, service is slow. I have been there 3 or 4 times and it's always the same. Then management comes out to talk to you with nothing but disrespect, an attitude and defends the shitty service.
