Great coffee served by an extremely pleasant staff. I like the great collection of "Grandma's attic" stuff for sale at nice prices.

Great local coffee shop! The staff was so friendly and helpful. They serve CommonPlace coffee which is great! The baked goods are amazing. I've been to a lot of coffee shops and their prices are probably the best I have seen. Free wifi, lots of seating and power outlets for those wanting to stay for a while. I'll definitely be going back!

We stayed at an Airbnb in town that included a breakfast at The Chatterbox. The Chatterbox's friendly owner made us feel like we were part of the town. Wonderful pastries and excellent coffee. Don't settle for industrial coffee in a paper cup when you can get the real stuff in ceramic and sit in a civilized cafe eating a fresh, homemade muffin.

This place is a must if you're visiting the railroad history attractions in the area. Great coffee drinks, pastries, sandwiches, soups and the friendliest people.

I went to the Chatterbox this morning with my sister. The coffee was fresh and the Christmas decorations were outstanding!The menu is simple but tasty. Bonnie was very hospitable and informative. I'm coming back with more friends! For the price you cannot beat this place.

My friends and I were staying at the Quinn Inn a couple doors down, which includes free breakfast at this cute cafe. Everyone we met in Portage was super friendly, and the people at this cafe were not an exception. I loved their chicken salad sandwich with sourdough and their large drinks! This place has a lot of seats, and we felt very comfortable sitting and chatting (haha) for a while after our meals. Also it's very fun to just look at all the decorations!Would definitely go again if I was in town!

Our visit to Portage included lunch at The Chatterbox. We enjoyed fresh sandwiches (Chicken Salad and Sloppy Joes) and hot tea (the green tea with peach is lovely). The cozy atmosphere and friendly folks (owners and customers alike) invite guests to enjoy meals/snacks at leisure. Come and sit a spell, enjoy the homemade soups, sandwiches, desserts and specialty teas and coffees.

The Chatterbox is easily one of the finest establishments in Portage Pennsylvania. It has a fantastic variety of Coffee and Tea, Specialty Coffee Drinks, freshly made bake goods, and daily lunch specials. It is built in a historic building that originally served as a town department store. The creaky wood floors, nostalgic decor, and unique seating options (including a soda fountain!) make the Chatterbox a must! Try their Gobs!

I love this place! Great atmosphere and service with coffee and ice cream bar. Very light fare. I got the frozen mocha and it was amazing!
