Very disappointed, wouldn't recommend.Called in a cupcake order ahead of time and asked for a dozen split between vanilla cupcakes/vanilla frosting and chocolate cupcakes/chocolate frosting. They clearly forgot the chocolate frosting was supposed to be on the chocolate cupcakes and did not even bother to take them out of the case to fix. There is white frosting smeared on the surrounding plastic case around the chocolate cupcakes, and also a thin layer still on the tops, under the newly placed frosting. I am surprised these used to fulfill my order.First time customer, last time customer.

The Cakery is a local business that makes custom and non-custom cakes, cupcakes, pies, cookies, and other desserts. They even offer some desserts for diabetic and ketogenic diets.I did not need a large, custom order, so I stopped by the business to browse their offerings. I saw two display cases of cakes, bars, brownies, fudges, scones, and cookies, and I saw one refrigerator of cinnamon rolls, banana breads, muffins, etcetera. An employee immediately greeted me, and as I selected my desserts, she carefully placed them in a box for me. She made friendly conversation, accurately rang up my purchase, and kindly thanked me. Here are my reviews for my desserts:Raspberry vanilla cake - $4.25 - 4.5 stars - I bought one slice of white cake that had vanilla frosting and some raspberry filling. The cake was fresh and had tart flavors, and the icing tasted sweet.Cherry pie bar - $3 - 4 stars - This bar contained a top layer of cherries. The flavor of cherries was subtler than I had expected.Apple pie bar - $3 - 3.5 stars - This bar contained a very thin layer of apple. I would recommend adding more apples for more flavor.Lemon pie bar - $3 - 5 stars - This bar had a strong taste of lemon and a nicely crispy crust.Cherry-chocolate scone - $3.25 - 3.5 stars - This scone was a large size. It contained a thin layer of cherries and chocolate chips.6 various cookies - $5 - I rate the peanut-butter cookie as 4 stars, the sugar-sprinkle cookie as 3.5 stars, the snickerdoodle cookie as 3.5 stars, the chocolate-chip cookie as 3.5 stars, the oatmeal-raisin cookie as 4.5 stars, and the chocolate-cherry cookie as 3.5 stars. Of course, everyone has their own personal taste, but in general, my higher ratings are for the intense flavors.

Friendly, affordable and delicious! What more can you ask for from a bakery?! I've been counting my carbs since integrating the ketogenic lifestyle into my life however, I do miss my baked goods and pastries. The Cakery seems like a God send to me. This place is seriously doing the Pittsburgh region a service by providing a variety of tasty low carb options. During my visit, I learned the bakery started offering keto items because the owner started the diet. Most "diet" or low carb alternatives are not as good as the real deal. The keto items at The Cakery are an exception. I got two loaves of bread cheddar bacon and cheddar jalapeño, along with a slice of chcolate cake and some chocolate cheesecake bites. The cheesecake bites tasted amazing and definitely satisfied my sweet tooth. The bread was my favorite buy. It had the consistency of cornbread and was full of flavor. Making low carb food can sometimes be a hassle. The Cakery is making my keto journey much easier by saving me time from prepping some meals and also satisfying my sweets cravings. I will definitely be visiting regularly!

I went here almost immediately after hearing about how good the keto-friendly baked goods are. During my visit, there were three different types of cakes and the entire side of a refrigerator full of keto options. I got some of the peanut butter cheesecake bites, blueberry muffins, a loaf of jalapeño cheddar cornbread and a loaf of cinnamon breakfast bread. The owner explained that everything would freeze well due to the density of the almond flour (so helpful-- didn't know that!) I'll definitely keep coming back.

First time customer here... Service was phenomenal, and the desserts were even better than that!!I originally called another well known local bakery 12 days in advance and they couldn't fulfill my order because they needed 14 days lead time. I found The Cakery through Google and called. I told her what I needed, gave her sample photos, and threw in some trust with the rest. I was blown away!! Not only was it pretty than I originally described, it tasted amazing. Every single guest asked where I got the cake and cupcakes. They were all coming back for seconds! Thank you, Cakery, for saving my party and delivering some hella good pastries. I'll be back!

I would not recommend this bakery, I ordered a gluten free cake to celebrate a birthday. it was my responsibility to bring the cake in for an office celebration. I was so embarrassed... the writing on the cake was completely crooked with the letters squished up against the edge - there was a misspelled word and the icing wasn't mixed properly so it was white and blue. I am shocked at how terrible it looked.

Best cake I've ever had! My daughter designed a Stitch cake for her birthday party and the Cakery made it perfectly!

Wanted diabetic desserts and they had some. There were several choices and the cheesecake bites and brownies were the best. They were very pleasant and quick prices reasonable. The place is small but nice. Would recommend. Did not try any regular pastries

A few days before Christmas I placed an order for three dozen cookies at Prantl's--the cost - One Hundred Dollars ! I cancelled the order. I went to The Cakery in West View, where I've been buying wonderful pastries since they opened. I ordered four dozen cookies for $50 and every one of the assortment was excellent--not merely good, but great.

The Cakery supplied most of the cookies for my son's wedding cookie table, and made a special toasted almond torte sheet cake for the occasion. This was in November 2022. Everything was delicious and priced fairly. Amber (the owner) was very responsive and easy to work with. I hate to see the bad reviews below because that was not my experience. I highly recommend the Cakery for both the keto-friendly and regular cookies and cakes.
