My husband has become a pizza snob, and he loved this pizza! We are going to go back soon and hopefully change this to a 5 star review. We ordered garlic knots and a large pizza...it was the Saturday special. The garlic knots were really good but not sure we would try them again. The pizza was great! We would love to try slices instead of a whole pie. We might also try to order ahead of time next time we go. We ate outside on a nice summer night before fireworks...great night!

We got a #1 that comes with 2 slices & a small drink. Also a #2 is 1 slice, pepperoni roll, & small drink. A buffalo chicken salad and garlic knots! We walked in Friday 5:20 and the lady working the counter was so busy but she made sure to answer all our questions let us know it can be up to 45 mins waiting for food, and was so nice. All the staff was. It's nice you can watch your food be prepped and put into the oven! Only took about 15 minutes before we got it! The other lady asked if we wanted our toddlers slice cut up! The food is all so good, I love a big slice. The pepperoni roll was well seasoned. The buffalo salad sauce was perfectly mild. Garlic knots were fluffy and had a little crunch. 10 out of 10! We will be back very soon. Lastly for all this food I paid $30.14 that could have easily been higher somewhere else.

Sometimes you just can't beat the classics... Pizza joints are as popular in Western Pa. as Starbucks are to, well everywhere. The Boardwalk is mainly a family run Pizza joint but don't sleep on their sandwiches. Since it was my first time there for lunch I went with the house favorite Soprano sub with an order of garlic knots on the side. The kitchen is an open design so watching my sandwich being prepared right in front of me made it taste even that much better knowing how much care went into creating my masterpiece. My Garlic knots were baked to order and had enough garlic to scare off any vampire in the tri-state area (perfect for me) each bite was great with that fresh baked bread crunch still available under all that garlic and butter. My sandwich aptly called the Soprano was an absolute killer. Toasted fresh bread filled with generous portions of meat, cheese and fresh veggies. Prices were good for what you got and it's nice to see family run restaurants can still be successful in this world climate. Next time I'm gonna try the pizza, Aloha

Western Pennsylvania's best kept secret... this place should be known by all. The pizza is superb, definitely in my Top 3 of all time. The slices are big, with a crisp in every bite. Great selection of pizzas. The pepperoni rolls are excellent. Will make my way to the wings soon, but I know they will be as good as advertised.

I think I would love this place in the old days, but health concerns have changed my eating habits. If they had some low carb offerings, maybe a cauliflower crust and some healthier interesting salads, they might get sick of seeing me!

Fine if you like your pizza undercooked. First clue should have been that we were the only people there.

We live in Chippewa Twp and less than a 1.5 miles from Boardwalk. I called yesterday at 5:30. Asked about the different size thin cut. Medium 6 cut or large 10 cut. Ordered large..1/2 with Pepperoni. They said 20 min. I walked in under 20 min and it was already done and boxed up. $18 w one side salad. I gave the girls a $5 tip in the jar.Absolutely the worst pizza I have ever had. The crust if you call it that was no more than 1/8 in thick. It was thin dough...no crispness at all. None. I put it on our pizza stone at 375 in oven and it still didn't do anything to that sorry bottom. We basically forced ourselves to eat 2 pieces each because that was dinner. The rest went into the fridge but I don't know why. It's going into the garbage. However...I may just take the remaining pieces with me and stop at Boardwalk. I don't care about getting a refund. But if this is what they call pizza...they should get out of the biz. Sal's next store is the same family. Their pizza is nothing like that mess.We eat out 2 or 3 times a week. I have never left a review. But this caper needed reported.
