The Abbey on Butler Street

I went for brunch on New Years Day! I was between the chicken avocado sandwich and the smothered chicken biscuit. I got the smothered chicken biscuit and it was so good!! This was my first time here for brunch but I will definitely be going back. The staff was so nice and both of the meals I was deciding between were her fave. She was so excited we took her recommendations.

We went to the Abbey in Lawrenceville for the first time today. It was a beautiful fall afternoon in Pgh. We sat outside and our waiter Brett was awesome. We started with cocktails and the smoked salmon bruschetta.. delicious!! Our dinners included burgers, pork chop, crab cakes. Each one was better than the other! We had great service and great food!Looking forward to the next time!!Thanks Abbey!!

Service always on we ordered Sunday brunch. There was a slight hiccup ordered the plant based chicken salad and it came out regular chicken. It did take a few minutes to replace. I had the smothered chicken biscuit. Delish. It would have been nice had the wait staff not charged me the up charge for plant based since I had to wait. O well

Stopped in this morning for coffee after a morning run. The decor is amazing and comforting. We were able to find a quiet book to enjoy our coffee and split a raspberry chocolate chip cookie. I highly recommend the cookie!! The barista was ante rice and whipped up our Americanos quickly. First time for coffee here and won't be our last.

The food and service are always amazing! The atmosphere is welcoming and warm. I will always stop here for brunch, dinner, or even a cocktail to end the night!

Overall, I enjoyed lunch at the Abbey. The bar area is dark/moody and eclectic. The booths are comfortable and very conversational. The cocktail menu is extensive and fun! I ordered an aperol spritz and steak sandwich with GF bun (surprisingly no up charge!) and a side of fries. The wait staff were attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. I'm looking forward to coming back!

We had a party of 8 that were accommodated day-of. They were very attentive, even thoguh they thoughtfully put us in a quieter area of the bar so we could hear each other (old people issues). They were friendly, timely, and perfect in every way. The food was delicious.

We always struggle to find new places for brunch. After a suggestion from a coworker we decided to give the Abbey a try. I remember way back when this was a funeral home, so I was curious about what it would be like inside. The interior is unique with different sections that seem completely different from one another. We were seated in an area near the bar, although the outdoor space looked much better. The menu was decent. Our service was just fair. I ordered a decent iced coffee and a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. My wife ordered eggs, bacon and toast. I felt as though the servings were a little small and the sandwich was just okay. I would like to come back again for lunch or dinner, but brunch.

We were seated outdoors m, which was really lovely on a warm evening. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was good. Everything on the menu looked good and we enjoyed everything we got, including the beers. If they were closer, we'd definitely return. Lawrenceville is just such a pain.
