Tavern 27

Food was fine, but the iPad app for ordering used by the staff was a disaster. I didn't have any confidence my bill was correct, so I requested a paper copy. It did not have the tip included, so I had to pay the tip with cash. The alternative solution to buy a drink for 1 penny and add the tip didn't give me any confidence. To top it off, I received another charge for $50 on my card. The staff was not very helpful in finding the bogus charge, so I have to dispute the charge with my bank.

Made a reservation for 4 people at 7:30pm and we didn't get our food until after 9:30pm. Our server was apologetic but had a different reason for the delay each time she came back to our table. I have never waited for food this long after ordering, and honestly I never will again. We were so hungry we considered someone driving down the road to Sheetz and bringing it back for the others.

Met friends for dinner on a weeknight. Cocktails were okay. We shared the pretzel appetizer and those were tasty. Also got an order of the old bay fries for the table, which we all enjoyed. I ordered the salmon salad, it was a large portion size. Service was okay, took a while to get our checks once we were done ordering food/drinks. Favorite part of our evening here was the patio seating, we got a table under the roof and watched the storms roll through. Gorgeous views from the patio area over the golf course and mountains.

I've been to Tavern 27 multiple times and have always found them to have good service and good food. Before the Pandemic they used to have a fantastic New Years Eve buffet that was always packed and a favorite of everyone in our group. Unfortunately they have yet to resume that practice post pandemic. Regardless the food for the most part was always been great. I've had both lunch and dinner there and have found little if anything I could consider wrong with our overall experience. I do note that the restaurant clientele has been sparse at dinner the last few times I have been there but that may be a consequence of the seasonal nature of the club and golf course. It has had no effect on the food or the evening. I do wish however that they would bring back their holiday buffet as it was one of the nicest evenings out around. All in all I'd definitely recommend an evening at Tavern 27.

Stopped in for a catch-up with colleagues. We sat on the outdoor deck area, which had a delightful breeze and was set up very well. Wide variety of food options, I had the French dip- which wasn't my favorite, but the rest of the crew seemed to enjoy their meals. Good beer and drink selection. Service was solid and friendly. Wouldn't mind going back to try some different menu items.

The food is decent but if you want bread with your meal you need to bring your own. They will absolutely not serve bread or rolls with your meal. They used to, but now you can't get bread with your meal--ain't gonna happen unless you bring your own. You might be able to order a hamburger but ask them not to assemble it and use the bun from that.The other thing is it's open to the public. However, a 10% charge is added if you're not a member. The way it's worded is members get a 10% discount which sounds better than we charge non-members an additional 10%.Nice view though, and nice people.

My husband and I were looking for a nice but casual place to grab dinner and a few drinks after the Penn State game. I have heard of Tavern 27, but never had visited. It exceeded our expectations. They had a great selection of craft beers, and a great food menu. We sat at the barn and were able to order off of the menu in the dinning room. I had a filet and it was excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet night out.

Went here for my husband's birthday dinner last week and sat on the patio! Food was delicious and the view was great. Good Job Tavern 27! If you have time, make sure you stop by here.

Good food and service. Nice selection and friendly atmosphere. Prices are good and nice location by a quality golf course. Good parking and nice drink selection

My son, fiance and I were there for dinner tonight. I have a lot of friends that frequent there, the view is amazing and the majority of the staff is great. BUT, we waited over ten minutes to be acknowledged at our table, by the time we got our appetizer, it was luke warm. I ordered salmon rare with lemon risotto...it was well done and the "risotto" was minute rice cooked in lemon juice sprinkled with lemon rind . Our lovely server removed it from the bill, thank you. Do you think the manager came over to check on us or ask what was wrong? Nope! My 12 year old didn't even want to finish his chicken fingers...what does that tell ya? My fiancé's steak was as chewy as hell, but he was hungry and ate it anyway. For a country club setting, it's not a country club restaurant. The bar atmosphere is great for a couple of drinks, but they need a new chef and a new general manager
