Taqueria Acosta

This place was sooooo gooood. We visited the Taqueria Acosta/Fat Cat pop up They have a big cocktail menu which was super delicious. We went for brunch and the food was amazing. I got the biscuits and gravy which came with a fried egg. We also had the blue cheese queso which was maybe the best queso I've ever had.The place itself is really cute. I loved the decor. There is lots of seating at the bar and another dining area in the adjoining space. The owner stopped by and checked on us a few times which was nice. He even brought us some extra chips! So nice.

So glad we ventured north today. The chips were so fresh and every one of the dips were superb! The queso had a smoky quality to it which we loved. None of them were overly spicy so you can truly appreciate the flavors.I had the tostados with chicken. Holy crap were they good! The chicken was incredible and so juicy. Love the slaw and picked veg! Really appreciated that they didn't douse everything with cilantro because it always overpowers everything else.Hubby had the chicken tacos and devoured them!Great job! 10 stars of if I could!

The food is very flavorful and not too spicy. The owners are very wonderful and became like family instantly. We are from NM and can taste the love in the food. We would highly recommend, if you want to try something different. They have a great selection of drinks and non alcoholic options. Trivia night on wednesdays is fun as well!

Had a chance to visit Wysteria Lane in Louisville before Goose--wow, what a scene that is growing.One of the gems from that visit was Taqueria Acosta. They're a food truck that made the journey over from Pittsburgh and their food was fantastic. They offered a few different options, but with only one stomach, I asked if I could try 1 taco of both flavors. The good man (Chris) helping me said that wouldn't be a problem.As he was preparing them, he asked if I would like them "New Mexico-style" and I hadn't heard of that, but I was in for it. The food is delicious and I'm hoping I can see them on future Goose stops.All goodness to these fine folks for delivering absolutely, positively quality nutrition--so good!

We have lived in the neighborhood for 14 years and are thrilled to have this amazing restaurant here!!! We had a fabulous brunch (the vegan chorizo was delightful) and amazing service. Can't wait to go back for the dinner menu ASAP!!
