I stumbled into this place by accident once. OH MY WOW. The color the smell, the flavor of this establishments food is absolutely amazing, and the flavor just pops. I haven't been back since, but i'm probably gonna have to.Because this review is making my mouth water and crave it all over again. On top of the delicious food, the staff or I do think the owner that waited on me was very informative, made good suggestions and set me up with the most delicious food i've had in a long time. Very nice place. Great atmosphere and friendly people is what I gathered and with the amazing food on top of it, this place should be packed every night. Ron R.

Taqueria 304 is an awesome Wheeling gem and well-worth a visit if you have an affinity for all things Mexican food.Came here with a friend last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I want to lead with the best here: the bartender/server here provided some of the best service I have experienced in the last few years. So many people have come to expect poor service (including myself) that positive experiences like this really serve as a wake-up call to what the dining experience ought to be like. Kudos to Taqueria 304 for hiring the best!I can't omit the excellent food and stellar plate presentation either. My friend and I both got the loaded nachos as our entrees and they were as delicious as they were beautiful. As for the drinks, plenty of beers on tap and in bottles to suit your needs, particularly of the Mexican variety (fitting).Ambiance is nice with some clever furnishings, like the sideways doors carpentered to serve as an entryway wall. One thing I will mention is that open-concept establishments tend to have noise issues and this place is no exception; even still, my friend and I were able to hear each other on this occasion (no promises when the place is full). Parking here can be challenging due to all the construction currently happening in the area though there are spots available on both sides of the street which ought to be enough at most times of the day.All things considered, Taqueria 304 is a welcome addition to the area and I hope they stick around for a long time to come!Overall: 4.5 stars----Pros:- Outrageously good service, that needs to be commended in a world where such service is increasingly rare.- Excellent food with a skilled eye for presentation.- Great draft/bottle beer selection.- Pleasant ambiance with clever furnishings.Cons:- Open-concept spots can have noise issues, though it wasn't too bad during our visit.- Parking is tough but still available.

You could taste the freshness! This place was amazing! Atmosphere was great. Service was also very good. Definitely coming back!

Delicious taco! And the salad was fabulous! Service is easy. Order at the bar and voila! Out comes your food!

At first I thought this place looked cool, the bartenders were nice and greeted us- however, the food just wasn't for me. Everything is ordered at the bar which is fine so we sat at the bar and ordered a couple diet colas. The tacos are single tacos and run around $5 depending- with various toppings, concoctions etc. the menu is pretty straight forward all things considered- and I ordered an appetizer of loaded nachos. There is an option to "load them up" which adds more jalapeños and sauces so I said sure and sipped my beverage. The nachos may have looked loaded up - but the ranch sauce was almost non-existent, and even though the beef was good - there was probably only two scoops of everything on top, and all chips to the bottom. I really think places should layer their nachos so almost every chip is addressed with toppings. Again - the meat was good just wasn't a good final execution of nachos.Ordered the philly cheese steak taco and a western sizzlin taco - which were somewhat odd. The philly cheese steak taco said it had beer cheese on it but the sauce was orange??? and tasted more like stroganoff. Was not good. Plus the steak was low grade beef stroganoff style meat. The western sizzlin taco was decent enough - but again that same meat. Didn't mind the tortillas they used, just altogether meh.Staff is very friendly but on food, that friendliness couldn't carry the meal.

This is the best Taco Joint I've ever been to. The tacos are second to none with a great beer collection. It's a local bar but they make everyone feel like a local. Every member of the staff is super friendly.

Love what this place is doing, especially in the downtown Wheeling area, the city needs some awesome places with great food and great atmosphere, and this is one of them. They have a beer especially brewed for them, cannot remember the name, but it was pretty solid. Started off with chips and salsa (both made in-house) and I was a big fan, immediately knew the grub would be good. Went for the 3-pack Tacos Campechanos and was not disappointed - great flavor, portion size for the price. They have Karaoke and live music as well - definitely dig it, next time I am in town I will be going back.

Great service and excellent food. The beer selection is next level! A must stop place when you're in the downtown Wheeling area.

I love this place. I haven't tried anything that I haven't liked. The beefy frito tacos are unlike anything I've had at similar restaurants

Do not pass Taqueria 304. On our usual driving-through meal break in Wheeling, we found the spot and it did not disappoint in any shape or form.The special bahn-mi tacos with pork belly were so spot on and the loaded nachos appeased the pickiest eater in the bunch. The pollos tacos and the expertly suggested remainders were exactly what was needed.Fantastic service, very cold beer and we are back on the road with a happy crew.Thank you Taqueria 304, we will see you on the way back!
