Tap 814 Speakeasy

Stopped in on a Monday evening and it wasn't too busy. I had to use the restroom right away and discovered that there wasn't any soap in the Ladies room. Upon returning to our table and placing our orders, I told the waitress about the lack of soap to wash my hands. She thanked me for telling her and she immediately took care of the situation which made me feel more comfortable eating there. Our drinks were quite tasty and our burgers were delicious. My daughter had the jalapeño burger and I chose the pepper crusted burger. Both came with bacon, as this is their thing, and buttered brioche buns. I asked for mine to be medium rare and it came just as I ordered. Besides bacon, my burger had Gouda cheese, arugula and caramelized onions. The fries were a bit disappointing because they were mostly nubs, no big whole fries, but they were tasty. Service was good. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The ambiance was as one would expect for a speakeasy. It had an industrial vibe and was comfortable.

Some of the worst food and service we've ever had. The menu is dated, obviously too large for the kitchen to make well, and the servers seem to be in a bad mood all the time. Our fries were mushy, the drinks, however, were excellent. But this place needs a lot of work, and it doesn't seem like the management cares at all to fix it. This was our 4th visit in the last 2 years, they do not care. Poor quality product. Will not be back after giving them multiple chances.I'm not sure who designs these menus but it's not a chef. It's someone who thinks they are, but they are not. Just don't go here, bad food, bad service. Utterly disgusted with our experience. And now that I've been told this place routinely petitions bad reviews be "taken down"? I hope this stays up.

We had dinner here when staying in Johnstown. They have some fancy grilled cheese options which we really enjoyed. Had the sweet potato fries on the side. The waitress was great. It was empty when we first sat down around 6:30 but more tables filled as the evening progressed.

Our first experience here at Tap 814 was okay... this time everything was amazing! The cocktails, food & service was outstanding!

Oh man I don't know how anyone can't enjoy this place. The cocktails are very good. Any staff I have interacted with are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food, well, THE FOOD!!! I end up ordering a bunch of appetizers because I can try more at once when I'm there. Truly a good place you should check out!

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday. The excellent service was accommodating and friendly. I ordered the figgy pig with yukon fries. SO GOOD. The bread was toasted yet still pliable, a good amount of bacon with brie, arugula, fig spread and fresh pear. Totally hit the spot. The fries are excellent, large portion crispy outside plus soft center. An excellent meal.

This was my first visit and at first I was unimpressed by the menu that seemed to try too hard and the unrecognizable selection of beers and cocktails. But our server Haylee saved the day. She found me a beer off the menu that made sense and took the time to explain many of the fun things the bar does like live music, and movie night. Her passion and energy really sold us on the bar. My wife and I shared the carnivore flatbread and my wife enjoyed a cold brew coffee drink. What started out as a lackluster first impression turned into a nice lunch and we decided to come back again in the future. Thank you Haylee for being awesome and patient with first time guests. We enjoyed our visit. The food was good.

The bartender only saw us once while we were waiting for our table. The place was packed I get it but a little attention would have been appreciated. Let's put it this way, we would have spent more money if she did.

Lovely restaurant, games to play at the tables which was a huge hit with our son, extra reading without him knowing lolFood was excellent, drinks were tasty and all the staff were very nice.

Service was a little slow but food was fantastic - and service was very friendly. Just take your time and enjoy
