Their Chicken 65 is the best I've ever had by far, I absolutely love the chutneys that come with the samosas, and the chicken tikka masala and korma are amazing. The garlic naan and mango lassi are also great. The service is also very very good as well!!! Been coming here for 4 years and one of the waiters even remembers that I always ask for extra lemon slices and brings them to my table for free! The food comes out quick and delicious, and Tamarind is my favorite Indian restaurant I've ever been to!

Was running errands in Cranberry on Sunday morning and then met up a friend here to enjoy their Sunday lunch buffet. Got there when they opened at 11.30am and they were already half full, which is always a good sign.We were greeted immediately and we sat down and they provided water and a plain dosa on the table straightaway. We tried various items from the buffet and they all tasted authentic to me. The variety, quality and taste of the food is very good. They have a South Indian twist on the food, which is different to other Indian restaurants in the area that have a more North Indian flavor. My favorite here was the chicken biranyi, but everything was great. I will be back more often as it is rare to get a high quality Indian buffet on Sunday in this location for this price with great service.Had 2 glasses of the included mango drink and then had some eggless cake for dessert. The servers clear plates quickly, topped up my drink and kept the buffet fully stocked. The staff here smile and enjoy what they do and take care of their guests. I would recommend this place if you are in Cranberry, the buffet price is a bargain for what you get to choose from in the fresh buffet.I will be back for dinner to try dosa very soon. Try this place, you will not be disappointed

We did another stop here for a late buffet lunch during our travels. We speeded to get here before 2:30 closing. We arrived at 2:15. The people working there didn't want to seat us, but we said that we were regulars, and that we'd eat quickly. We didn't even go to a table. We went straight to the buffet, and filled our plates. There was plenty of food at closing. Nothing was super spicy. We like Indian food, but I can't tell you what we had, LOL, except nan, the excellent Tandoori chicken and their yummy mango drink. As diners left the staff cleaned up. I know they wanted to get out of there before opening for dinner. As we finished at the 2:30 deadline a worker brought a Sweet--a finely shredded green vegetable with a sweet syrup on it. Delicious. Another good Tamarind experience for two hungry travelers.

Parking was easy in a shared parking lot. We are out of town but it was easy to find. The reviews said they had plenty of gluten free options and they are correct. The food was good with little wait, the service was quick and the servers were knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. When I checked in I was given a free appetizer and they honored the coupon same day.

Second time I have visited this place - excellent service, very friendly staff. You can tell it is authentic by the number of Indians you see eating there. Extensive menu and I'll be back again.

I'm traveling to the area and don't know manyLocal spots but was able to look them up and see excellent reviews. They weren't lying! The menu was extensive for an Indian restaurant but I'm very loyal lamb vindaloo and chicken masala. These were hands down the best of both dishes I've ever had. The lamb had just the right anoint of spice but also had a slow kick at the end, not overwhelming or underwhelming as Indian food can often be-hit or miss. The chicken was plentiful, tender and buttery. There was a yogurt smoothness to it that I've not ever encountered, makes most others almost seem clumpy or chunky in comparison. Basmati rice accompanied both orders. Veggie pakora to start the meal was crisp and light yet hearty to the palate. I wish they were closer.....or perhaps a return trip to Pittsburgh area for Indian food

A great little find out in Cranberry. Seating can be a bit tight but great service / staff. And the food is very good. Might not be my favorite Indian stop in Pittsburgh but it is a fairly close second. The flavors are great, ingredients are fresh, and there's plenty for anyone regardless of dietary restrictions. Their baghnan bartha is probably my favorite dish there. My only very mild complaint is I feel like many of their dishes lack the mix of veggies / garnishes you find in other Indian places. Like heavy on the sauce and meat but I'm missing the onions or the other veggie fillers. A small complaint but still worth noting.

There aren't any Indian places where I live, so when I was in Cranberry for a meeting I was excited for Tamarind because I had heard such good things. I ended up a little disappointed. I got the shrimp curry for takeout the other day and it was just OK. It was actually kinda bland and tasteless which I've never had with Indian food before. There weren't any veggies or anything- just shrimp and curry sauce and a side of rice. The shrimp was over cooked and chewy. The white rice was the best part of the meal. I'm looking to try the new Sankalp next time I'm up here.
