Aug 27th 2024 I love Taipei Tokyo !!!! I tried Moo Goo Gai Pan and loved it , I also can't get enough of the Gyoza Fried Dumplings. Highly recommend no stop go directly to Taipei Tokyo in Monroeville!!

It was so below average it deserved 2 stars.Pros: not many. 30 years ago this place was called King Wu and their General Tso Chicken was legendary. Today? It is half-decent. Service was good.Cons: wonton soup was so bland, no scallions, just beef broth and tasteless dumplings. Kung Pao was also tasteless and had zero heat. Restaurant look the same it did the last time I dined here 5-10 years ago. Old and dated.Summary: it had been years since I dined here. I shan't be dining here again. Disappointed.

Great sushi spot! Great for takeout or dine in. Located conveniently in Monroeville, plenty of parking. I go here for lunch at work a lot but have been for dinner as well.Amazing prices, good lunch specials, pretty good sushi! Very large menu with lots of other items/chinese food not just sushiBig restaurant and always packed! They do great business, quick service, very nice employees

I tried this place for lunch yesterday, $12 for both of these not bad at all! Everyone I dealt with at the restaurant was super nice, which is always refreshing. The sushi was good, i waited a little too long to eat it so I had to let it cool back down in the fridge at work but it was still delicious

Great restaurant in the Monroeville area. They have fantastic lunch specials. Their sushi is fresh and the food always comes out hot. The food is also served in a quick timely manor.

Just take a pass on this place.Two stars because of the size of the bar. It just feels as though their meal prep is nonexistent. Over processed and over priced. I'm very very surprised at the rating that they have now. Just feels that ratings are paid for. Maybe good food for elderly folks as the spices and tastes are just not here. Again- if you enjoy good chinese food - or Japanese food - take a pass on this one. If you want decent Chinese food that I personally recommend - for low pricing to quality and taste- try Szechuan Garden in Greensburg at the Davis Center. MUCH smaller with way way better food than this place that is reasonably under priced. Lunch specials that are amazing for the price. Soup, roll, meal for lunch. No sushi available however. Service was okayFood was not good (lower than okay)Sauces were lower quality than generic store boughtHot and sour soup was earthy, but almost smelled like sewage? There was a massive (1/6 width of bowl and 1/2 length) piece of tofu. Never seen that before. Hunan Beef - very thin sauce, no spice, no depth. Great broccoli!!' Mushrooms were not satisfyingly strong enough. Almost tasted fake???Sushi was meh- the ginger was really good with no chunks. We had a few rolls and didn't finish them - which says a lot. They did however have red cap Kikkoman soy sauce. Best of all- rice was undercooked. Haha. Nty never again.

Decided to do takeout fairly early on New Years Eve. Was told that the wait would be an hour which was what I expected. Ordered 3 shrimp Spring Rolls. 3 entrees... House Special Duck, Happy Family and Sun Bay Jee. All came with an order of boiled rice. I arrived just after 6 and my order was just being brought out of the kitchen so it was hot. The spring rolls were rather small and rather greasy but did contain a couple of shrimp and were otherwise tasty. The Happy Family was good with an equal reasonable amount of large shrimp, pork and chicken and vegetables in a brown sauce which as expected was not overly flavorful but still good all the same. The duck entree was very good even though it had the similar brown sauce. The duck pieces were beautifully cooked and consistent with every piece. My favorite however is the Sun Bay Jee and has been my go to dish for a number of years. Flavorful Taiwanese dish prepared hot pot style with tender chicken in basil leaf and garlic based sauce with onions. Wonderful. Accompanying rice portions were fair sized. Next time will dine in, but this New Year's Eve I was entertaining my sweet 94 year old mother in law, so knew that wasn't going to happen. However It was her first taste of duck and she tried and enjoyed every dish we put on her plate and she ate as much as me...which is no small feat!.
