Swaagat Indian Cuisine is a local restaurant that has a small, casual dining room and also offers takeout and delivery. The menu lists a large variety of Indian foods (e.g., appetizers, soups, salads, seafoods, rices, tandoori, vegetarian entrees, chicken, lamb, mutton, desserts, and non-alcoholic drinks). Prices are reasonable. My husband and I ate one dinner here. An employee promptly and kindly served us. I noticed that many of the other customers were Indian, which might be an indicator of the authenticity of the foods. (My husband has traveled to India, and we frequently eat Indian foods, but we are not experts.)We ate a Veg Platter appetizer (samosa, aloo tikki, veg pakora, and paneer pakora), Butter Chicken (with a customized spiciness), Palak Paneer (spinach and cheese with a customized spiciness), Garlic Naan, Mango Masti (sort of like a mango smoothie with ice cream), and Hot Masala Chai. I rate everything as 4.5-5 stars. Our meal cost $56 *plus* tax, tip, and a 3% credit-card surcharge. I would definitely eat more of Swaagat's foods in the future.

We just had a very special evening here, so I'm updating my review. Everything is delicious and authentic. We ordered the Mirch Naan and it was extraordinary.I wanted to try something new, so I ordered the Chicken Hakka Noodles and I was amazed by the flavor. We ordered the Momo for an appetizer and it was very good. Our server was helpful and interesting to talk with. She found out what dishes we love and then made recommendations from there.I don't come here for ambiance, but definitely for the food. There are just a limited number of tables, but frankly, a lot of people order take-out, so that leaves room for those who want to dine in.We can't wait to go back.

Great Indian spot! I ordered online and came to pick up the food in person. The staff was very friendly, the food was made quickly, and the restaurant was clean, albeit a bit small. I ordered their daal tadka, samosas, rice pudding, and gulab jamun. The daal tadka was quite good and definitely tasted homemade. It was quite flavorful and hearty. I am quite sure this dish is healthy too. However, the lentils were not fully whole, and were a bit beat up into almost a paste. It seemed like more of a soup than a curry. Quite watery. But, still good, and went somewhat well with the rice (a bit awkward to eat though since it is soupy in texture). Great portion. The samosas were delicious! Very good portion. Crispy on the outside and packed with potato and peas on the inside. I am found of the plum sauce, which is sweet with some spice. There is also a more bitter green sauce they serve with them too. You get 2 per order. The desserts were both solid. I loved the gulab jamun. Had a great amount of the sweet syrup and it was soft in the inside. Great texture and flavor. However, the portion was not the best, as you only get 2 small pieces. The rice pudding was quite good. It had a substantial taste of cinnamon to it. The texture was a tad bit like cottage cheese, but not in a bad way. Wasn't the creamiest I've had, but still good. You could still feel the individual rice kernels. And a great portion. All in all, this is a very nice Indian restaurant! The portions are great, food is flavorful and homemade, and the people are great as well! I recommend it.

We doordashed them and it was pretty good. I think it would have been even better fresh but it was all pretty good. Especially the samosas.

Very small place, brightly lit waiter/owner was welcoming. Looks like they do a good carry out business. First time here wanted to get some things that I had not tried in other Indian restaurants. Had the shrimp Chili and was great giant shrimp and while I asked for the spice level 7/10 it was just right for me. My son and grandson did not want to try this, They had the Palack Paneer , Saagwalla chicken and we all split the Garlic and butter naan. I got an order of chicken 65 to go just because it's my favorite and while it was good I did have it better at other places all in all would put it right up there with the best Indian in Pittsburgh.

Best Indian food in the Pittsburgh area, and some of the best I've ever had! They can be a little slow as the chef prepares everything from scratch, but the food is well worth the wait. Our toddler absolutely loves their mango lassi and naan.

Very good food. Exquisite service. I got lamb vindaloo. At a 6 of 10. Perfect balance of heat and sweet n spice. Fair warning this is an Indian food 6 of 10 not a Caucasian pallette 6 of 10.But food so good you eat through the ringing ears n sweats. Service was Exquisite. Attentive wait staff. So much so they tried to put peppa pig on for a few small fussy children so they wouldn't be loud while we ate. Totally above and beyond. Kids will be kids. Wonderful family restaurant. And for I believe only being open a month they are putting out GREAT food.

Had to wait an extra 15 minutes when I came to pick up my food. The chicken had large pieces and was tough to eat. Not coming back

Amazing food and service. It was too hot at first for my white girl pallet. Tina told me to add lemon juice and it made all the difference. So good. And almost too filling.
